Could have been puke on the floor, grimy tub with chunks of dirt, nothing has been wiped down/sanitized for months. Wasn't sure if it was a prank? Paid $155 for one night at what desk agent said was the price for most basic available, which ended up being a kitchenette completely un-Foodsafe to use. Couldn't reach customer service after check-in.

Arrived at 2:30pm to check in. No one was there or answered phone. Waited over an hour. First room given me had bags of garbage on the floor. Second room had mold in coffee pot (I have pics of both). Avoid no matter what the price.

Drawers had dirty things in them, leftover halloween candy wrappers, 3 little spider toys, opened teabag, dirty fork, nacho chips on the floor. USED towel hanging on back of door in bathroom. Shower had plastic wrap chunk tapped on to it and red soap stains (Definitely not cleaned). Neighbour’s were yelling and talking loudly until 2:40am. Staff came and asked them to be quiet but the noise continued. Woke up every hour and could still hear them talking until 7am. Horrible night. There is a cute coffee shop( Triumph coffee) around the corner to thankfully make up for lack of sleep.

I was supposed to pay 168.32 , when I got my visa bill it was 368.32 . I’m 75 my wife is 66 we stayed one night there absolutely was no damage. I’ve tried and tried to get a hold of the hotel and no answer. Discussed

I don't think I can give an accurate review. I was evacuating from a wildfire with two cats and a dog. I asked for a pet friendly place. When I got there they said they didn't allow cats. But they let me stay with a 200 dollar damage deposit, which I did get back. Plus I found out my mom was in hospital in Cold Lake Alberta, so I pretty much just slept and left in the morning for Valemont. Sorry but I'm in a pet friendly hotel who don't discriminate against cats and no damage deposit. (I could be wrong but I think everyone pays a damage deposit at Schell).

Don’t get your hope to high, the property it’s pretty dated and in need of lots of attention, I never had anybody checking the room behind me before I’m allowed to check out, we book this place for the outdoor pool but was pretty dirty as well

Our family of 6 was able to fit in 1 room together without being crowded. The pool was decent and easily accessible, the lounging area around the pool was pretty decent size and had bbq's for use. This was out first stay here and we will be back again.

The Motel feels old and unkept. Has a cool set up if it was taken care of . Got a room that slept 3 people, but only got 2 pillows and no shhets or blanket for the 2nd bed. I had to ask for more of that stuff and also more towels. Very few pieces of cutlery for the kitchen so bring your own if you stay. Best part of the Motel is the pool but even that it is showing its wear. There is duck tape along the top edge of the pool and the walkways are full of cracks. My feet were full of dirt from waking along the pool like it hasnt been sprayed off in long time. There are dirty old wires hamging on the sides of the building connecting to the AC units for the rooms. This place needs some TLC.

Tried to stay a night in July when we couldnt get a room in Kelowna. We had to arrive late because of the change of travel plans. I had received a call earlier in the evening that I couldnt make out who they were looking for I told them they had the wrong number. I later found out it was the hotel calling me because their office closes at 9. He didnt introduce himself or say where he was calling from, which would have been helpful. We waited for him to arrive to check us in when we did arrive later in the evening, tired from our trip. When we got checked in the rooms didnt have the AC turned on and were 35+C inside. They only have a small room AC in the bedroom which isnt adequate to cool the whole unit and would have taken over and hour to cool down by then. When attempting to make the sofa bed, a large amount of dirt fell out of it, and the frame itself was falling apart in one room. We were shown a different room that was no different. Hot and dirty. They did process a refund and the manager was trying to be helpful and was polite. I did appreciate his willingness, but the motel itself was bad and I wasnt willing to let my family even just spend the night. It is of the most affordable in Vernon, and I didnt expect new or luxury, but I did expect a good state of repair, cleanliness and a room we could sleep in at least. Considering our family size, there were only 2 places we could have even stayed. Luckily the other option still had availability by the time we cancelled.

This is a budget motel and we got what we paid for. The staff were excellent as I had reserved and paid for 2 nights but we had to leave after the first night due to a family medical emergency. They refunded the one night even though I booked through a 3rd party (expedia).

Reasonably priced but a bit shady with permanent residents on site. The new owner said they are getting rid of the inherited permanent people, but they add a shady aspect. Nice location downtown, so lots of dining opportunities. The outdoor pool was enjoyed immensely by our granddaughters. The premises were acceptably clean and the lady owner was very friendly and helpful. Not sure I’d stay there again but the stay e had was pretty OKAY.

This property is stuck in the 80's, literally all inside has not been touched or renovated for at least 30 years, including all bedding. Not worth the $190/night we paid, will not return to this place.
