Our stay felt like an urban "Survival" episode. Check in felt like a major inconvenience to the woman at the front desk. Her helper escorted us to the room, we almost gagged at the smoke smell emanating from the room upon opening the door. The smoke detector was beeping and the gentleman went to get a new battery which he could not figure out how to instal so he left the detector on the dresser and said we'd be OK. The TV wasn't working and it was determined that there was a missing power cord that was not replaced in the three days we were ther. There were numerous occasions where some strange domestic behavior was displayed by the residents including smoking crack and outright screaming battles between what may have been a drug dealer or a pimp and a woman. The room was disgustingly dirty complete with dirty dishes and potatoes sprouting in the cupboards and stains on the shower curtain that could only be described as bodily fluids. I'm not convinced the sheets had been changed, We had to wear shoes in the room to keep our socks from sticking to the floor. The highway noise was pretty much nonstop but that was predicable given the location. I think this place could possibly be getting some subsidy to house homeless people. Some were polite but others downright scary and sadly degenerate. Toilet sounded like a fire hose. The good news is the stove worked and we did get a clean pot to boil water. Microwave worked as did the refrigerator. Plenty of hot water.

Grounds had a lot of cigarette butts around and many people that seemed to be on drugs loitering by the entrances and stairwells. The bathroom in the suite unfortunately had a strong smell of cat urine. Otherwise clean. The staff however, was very friendly and the Inn was pet friendly.

This property was the most reasonable available on next day notice in the high season. The location is awesome, very handy to the downtown. It has AC ...much appreciated during a recent heat wave. But the frig was set so cold all my fresh berries froze. The heat was on on the bathroom. The bathroom sink drained about 10 minutes after use. There were no pots and pans for the 4 burner stove, no glasses only mugs. The tv got no signal. You get my drift? We will not be staying there again.

It was a great place to sleep at night! Clean! Coffee maker and frig , which was great! The owners seemed very nice. The room had that motel smell of cigarettes, which didn’t,t bother me that much ! Overall it was all that I needed!

The room smells like cigarette the fridge stinks and the AC didn’t work properly and the front desk person is not there when u need it and u have to called everytime there is a problem in the room.

Older building, but you can see they are fixing it up. We ended up with a nice room, but were initially given a room with two double beds when we had booked a king. Luckily I had printed the receipt. They also kept the paper with the reservation which had the map of the route home on the back so we got a bit lost.

The property was more like a residential motel, it looked like it was under renovation, towels were like hand towels, we had to ask for bath towels and there were no coat hangers in the room.

I arrived at the property only to find they had not processed my booking, They recommend I go to an alternative hotel owned by them, i did not go as they had let me down badly, they turned me away from their reception, knowing I was a woman travelling on my own, in a place I did not know, I had chosen this hotel as it was within walking distance to the hospital, I had no transport and it was dark. I will not use this hotel in the future.

Staff was very accommodating. The room quality was amazing. That bed was very comfortable! Be ready for a little highway noise. Other than that, I’d highly recommend this place.

We arrived and got the key. Took our stuff to our room and went out for dinner. When we came back we were locked out of our room. Went to the office and all our belongings were there. They said they were waiting for us to check into the room and thought someone else had taken the room. Left us feeling violated. The room had 2 double beds instead of the king we had booked and had no fridge let alone a kitchenette. Would not recommend this hotel.

This property has truly the perfect location. Extremely easy to find as is on the corner of the two main highways in town. Also it is within walking distance to all of downtown Vernon, for all services. The family who own and run it have taken a property which was in very bad shape and made it beautiful again. The rooms are large and clean and very comfortable.

Right downtown and very close to stores and services. But its also located on an extremely busy intersection and it is very noisy 24/7. The motel itself should be gutted and fixed. Seems like it's been the same since it was built. There is a smell of moisture probably due to lack of air circulation and humidity in the air. On the flip side, staff is very nice and friendly. Access to rooms is gated so it is very safe.

The hotel was extremely disorganized and dangerous. The smoke detectors were missing, the plug for the light was frayed and “fixed” see picture, and the ac was plugged into two extension cords with grounds which is a fire hazard...

J the motel has been completely renovated after it went under new ownership. If you feel a certain way about some things that you don't like, you should have reported it to the office and we could of have tried our best to fix it.

Property is in a great location.Some recent renovations have been done to rooms with kitchenettes however there is a serious issue with safety where the raised tile meets the carpeted area. There is almost a 1 inch drop and the metal molding has a very sharp edge that I cut my foot on and is also a tripping hazard.Host now knows about this but didn't seem too concerned.Fix the problem please.

I was quite pleasantly surprised. The place was clean and spacious with a nice balcony but it overlooked the busy road. There was no pool and we stayed 2 nights and our room was not made or towels replenished. Also the TV was not set up but that was fixed right away. The outside doesn't look great from the picture but it was nice and yes I would stay again and recommend.

Poor experience
The room is very noisy, often smells curry, no coffee machine and kettle. The sheets have a lot of stains, bathtub is very dirty and shower curtain has stains. The staff gave me a wrong receipt and guest registration which showed the credit card number, expired date and CVV. But, the card is not belong to me. I also found the room I stayed is cheaper than I booked according to the wrong receipt. There had not staff at the front desk when I check out, so, I leave the key in room.

Staff couldn’t speak English! Called to change our check in date, then they called us numerous times and days before to see when we would be there (after I called twice)! Called again to change our date and they stated they didn’t even change it in the first place! When we arrived they had the wrong price, had to point out so they would change it! Place smelt horrible! No parking! Went to room and the room was wrong (one twin bed). As we had 3 guests, we specifically booked two beds! Called front desk and male didn’t know anything about anything! Went to front desk and lady argued that I booked for kitchenette, then said because I change our arrival date they gave our room away! Just horrible! Don’t trust the pictures, room wasn’t redone, front desk door didn’t work and smelt bad!

The staff were polite and friendly along with the people which it was nicely secure knowing the location of the spot, and the parking was decent knowing that you could always have a parking spot. The bedroom was nice and clean just it smelled like cigarette smoke, and weed which wasn’t pleasing. The wifi wasn’t good, the hot water took a while to warm up along with water pressure and the heater didn’t work whatsoever.

Motel w/ a Sexist Owner Canceled Confirmed Booking
1.Motel cancelled the confirmed reservation of one of my two rooms’ booking w/out prior written notification. Claimed had called my home phone # but I was already on the road. 2. Motel boss owns 4 motels in Vernon but was extremely rude to me, a female customer. He tried to move my two lady friends to another motel or move all 4 of us to another motel 20 min. away. 3. Motel owner yelled & tried to “control” me. He said that was how he treated customers in his home country & he behaves the same in Canada. He ordered me to concede. 4. He moved all 4 of us to Econolodge nearby with a very professional Receptionist. He paid $40 more for the suite with two rooms, one with a sofa bed. We saved $139 instead. Owner bragged that we should be grateful. 5. But this was not we wanted. We were willing to pay for two rooms with proper beds. 4 adults ended up sharing 1 bathroom and 1 A/C resulting in two guests freezing in one room where the A/C was and the other 2 guests toasting in adjoining room.

Hotel appears a little rough on the outside, but nice and clean on the inside. Lobby staff, was minimal, and seemed to have to take care of numerous responsibilities. WiFi was questionable, but overall it was worth what the cost was for the room.

This room was a complete dump! the balcony door lock did not work, and the floor was not cleaned. It had old furniture in terrible condition, and there was a door that connected the joining room, and it didn't have a lock on it! My wife checked the door, and it opened into the other room next door, and startled the guest! It is operated by East Indians, and I felt like I had rented a room in India, not Canada!!! I give this hotel -20 out of 10!!! This was the single worst room I've ever rented in my life anywhere in the world... The only reason I rented it through Expedia was because there was nothing else available in the entire Okanagan Valley that night!

Basic, cost effective hotel in Vernon
This hotel was in a good easy-access location, right by the main highway. It has been recently renovated. Price was right, close to the sights we wanted to see, and helpful and friendly staff. Beds are comfortable, bedding is new, and so are some of the furnishings. Had a microwave, fridge, and counter space, so we were able to heat up basic meals. We actually needed some kitchen items (including another fridge!) and the staff brought them up no problem. Nice little patio out back, and a creek flowing by.

The rooms smelled of smoke, the carpets were stained, one of the lights and some of the outlets didn't work, the sheets were yellowing, the mirror in the bathroom was chipped. We paid for a Queen bed accordong to the website but they only have double beds and Kings, and the King rooms were sold out so we were given a double. Overall not a good experience at all and not worth the money. We nearly slept in our car instead.

Staff nowhere to be found. Couldnt check out even after ringing the bell twice so locked my key in my room and left. Deadbolt didn't work on my door. Contstanly coming across other guests looking for the guy running the place. Unpleasant replies to previous reviews. Worth it to just pay the extra money and stay somewhere else.
