Everyone was so friendly and I loved the look and vibe of the room, hallway, and lobby! Great valet staff as well, very convenient.

I would just improve the attention in the breakfast restaurant due to a bad experience. The rest was excellent

This was my 1st trip to Chicago. The location, service and visual stimulation of this boutique hotel leads one to want to stay there on a future trip. I didn't have a great view - but I asked for a quiet room - which I received - as there was some construction on the street the week I was there. I slept well and found the room set up fine with bed one end and sofa and table another end and fridge and counter in middle at the entrance. The bathroom is spacious. I was in a king studio. But more important than the room was the service. Staff were responsive and helpful. They didn't have all the answers but when they could help, they went the extra mile. I like the fact that the room had two reusable water bottles and there's a water station (& self-serve snack bar) near reception. I brought one home. What made this hotel special from the start is the focus on art. Two floors of art: paintings, installations, video loops. I didn't get a chance to view all but really appreciated the curator tour (on thursdays). There's even a little library to sit in to view a random selection of art-related books. Finally, what made this hotel a definite first choice for a future trip is the location. While I didn't have a view of the river, I was so close to so many of the restaurants and jazz bars I wanted to go to and only took the L train on the day I went out with a Chicago Greeter to Logan Square. You can walk to the Architectural Tour (by the Architecture Society) - a must-do.

The staff was incredibly hospitable and welcoming. Very enjoyable experience and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The room was very spacious, fairly newly modeled and clean. Staff was outstanding! Lobby was inviting and smelled lovely upon entry. There were 4 of us, however, only 3 towels. Linens were not changed during the 2 night stay. We needed to contact the front desk. But towels were provided promptly. Definitely going to stay in this hotel next time we go to Chicago!
