Zattere elegant apartment. Definitely an excellent solution for a memorable stay in Venice. Exceptional for position, brightness, view, designers and decorators, comfort (2 elevators at the floor), services, finishes and equipment, modular use. Adapted for couples, families, adults and children (children under 4 years are our guests) but also for the elderly and disabled. New building, designed by a famous Italian architect, nice, very bright, quiet, spacious balconies, amazing view on the Giudecca Canal and the fireworks of the Redeemer (July 16, 2011), all comfort, Discount for length of stay, completely renovated in spring 2010. One of the very few apartments available for short rentals in Venice, suitable to host, in luxurious environments and contexts, up to 10 people. All rates are modified according tothe guest number. Wine cellar at the floor, cooled to the proper serving temperature, with a wide selection of excellent white wines, red and sparkling Italian (over 100 labels) from over 10 regions, at very affordable prices not available elsewhere. I only wish we had stayed longer. We were welcomed by Giorgio and given a tour of his family home. It is pretty in the photos and more beautiful in person. Two kitchens! All the rooms were different and all were comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and well appointed, good showers and plenty of hot water. We had the whole flat, so it came with 2 kitchens with everything you could need and the flat also had laundry. This flat is so unique, it was Giorgio's home and you really felt like you were home. Giorgio himself was so helpful. Easy to contact and quick to respond. He met us at the flat and gave us a detailed tour. He was full of helpful information and helped us to book an early morning water taxi to the airport. The location of the flat is perfect. Right on the water. It was easily accessible to San Marco, Rialto etc by a short walk (15min) or quick vaporetto ride, and useful things like groceries or fantastic restaurants were also within a ten minute walk. We were greeted every morning by a chorus of bells! It is on an upper floor (there is an elevator if needed), of a secure building - the views were gorgeous, and it was fascinating to watch the various boats and ships that use the canal as Venetians went about their everyday life. The apartment itself is nicely appointed and well equipped. It was elegant but welcoming, and we were made to feel at home away from home. There is plenty of room for a large family or two, with enough space to have some privacy or gather as the mood strikes. It was a perfect place to celebrate the holidays together! Two double bedrooms were up a fairly steep set of stairs but two others were on the main level, if accessibility needs to be considered for your group. The costs were very reasonable as compared to staying in an equivalently luxurious hotel, and allowed so much flexibility and savings in terms of meals as well as shared space if you choose. The owner is as gracious and welcoming as his home. He was easy to connect with by email, with excellent English, and very available once we were in the city. He went above and beyond for us, receiving a package that had been posted ahead as well as making recommendations which would suit our needs. He is the perfect host for a grand city like Venice! Overall it was a wonderful stay and perfectly suited our needs as we celebrated Christmas in this magical city. The view is incredible and Giorgio is an awesome host. He met us at the water bus stop (that is about 30 feet from the apartment) and walked us to the place. It could not have been easier! We were there during what we were told was the hottest period in 150 years. It was crazy hot outside, but the air conditioning inside was great. Not that we spent a lot of time at the apartment, but when you did go back it was refreshing. As for the apartment, it as very roomy with comfortable beds and plenty of space for our family. Here's the thing. If you want to be in the middle of the tourist area, with crowds and noise, then this place is not for you. If you want a place that is right on the water, an easy walk or easier bus boat ride to EVERYTHING, in a very safe area, close by market and banks, great restaurants, BUT is quiet and uncrowded, then this is the place for you. Not sure if Giorgio is going to put it up or not, but I took a great panoramic picture off of the front balcony of the main canal out front. If there is a panoramic picture with a flying bird on the right half of the picture, that is mine. It is the view you will have if you rent this place. Simply amazing! ##### Gary F. "Romantique!!! Incroyable!!! Magnifique!!! Si nous avions pu mettre une meilleure note, nous aurions mis 10/5\. Nous avons loue le "Waterfront" appartement pour 2 personnes. Le waterfront appartement d''environ 90 m2 est d''epoque dans un palais venitien declare monument historique. Les meubles sont typiques et d''origine. Nous ne pouvions rever mieux. Digne d''un hotel 5 etoiles avec vue sur la canal de la Giudecca (la vue de l''appartement est extraordinaire = la chambre et le salon donnent directement sur le canal). La magnifique chambre "matrimoniale" possede un petit balcon sur lequel on peut prendre petit dejeuner, dejeuner et diner en regardant les magnifiques bateaux passer. Tout est a proximite y compris la place St Marc a pied (15 minutes) ou en vaporetto (4 minutes) au choix. L''appartement est equipe avec tout ce dont on pourrait avoir besoin. Les proprietaires sont tres attentionnes et passionnes par leur demeure. Il faut avouer que nous aussi!! Nous conseillons vivement cet appartement aux romantiques qui souhaitent faire une tres belle surprise a leur conjoint/conjointe! Et a tous les autres qui souhaitent vraiment decouvrir ce que vivre dans un palais venitien signifie...pour quelques jours."
