This large, airy and bright, non-smoking apartment is located on the third (last) floor, in a 500 year old architecturally-significant Palazzo. Renovated by a famous architect, the apartment is designed to create different spaces within it's wide open area: the wide living area with couch, chaise longues and armchairs; two cozy spaces with desks; a fully-equipped gourmand kitchen; a TV/Reading corner with a queen size sofa and opposite a corner that accommodates two single beds (which can be pushed together to function as a King bed). The master bedroom with Queen bed is totally separated from other spaces and is located in the opposite side, compared to the position of the single beds. The penthouse has two complete bathrooms: one with a shower and one with a tub. The apartment is equipped with all the modern comforts and facilities ,including air conditioning (Central Air Unit controllable in 4 zones), independent heating, free wifi internet connection, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave oven... In this very unusual and spacious Venetian property, very quite and silent, you have the possibility to relax after an exciting day and also take small daily breaks since it's literally within steps of the most popular sights, shops, and restaurants in San Marco. Thanks to its central location you can easily reach Piazza San Marco and the Basilica, the Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs in a few minutes walk. You'll have the opportunity to visit the monuments in the early morning, when they are not too crowded or you can be enchanted by the magic of Piazza San Marco in the night, with the orchestras playing. From the penthouse in 5-10 minutes walking you reach Rialto, Academia, Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Piazza Santo Stefano, etc. In the immediate neighborhood you'll find a souvenir shop, pharmacy, pâtisserie, newspaper stand, coffee shop, good restaurant and bars, little grocery shop, fruit and vegetable shop, and also all the high fashion shops of the best Italian labels, that are located in this area of Venice. We arrived during the film festival so all private water taxis were not available when we arrived but Giulio and Elena walked use right through what to do to arrive and start to enjoy our stay. The location is excellent. Close to everything! Literally minutes walks to any destination in Venice. The space is large, the head space is a bit of an issue I’m 6’2” so just had to duck a bit. The people of Venice were very friendly and it made our trip one to remember for all the right reasons! We reached out to representative who supposedly reached out to maintenance… A/C was never fixed and no follow-up from rep explaining why. We enjoyed staying in central San Marco without worrying about the noise. The check-in process was smooth and informative, but we didn't see the same level of support throughout. On the first morning we awoke to a strong sulphuric smell emanating from the AC in the bedroom and dining room. When we reached out to the PM, he said he'd check on it, but never followed up with us. The smell continued every morning of our stay even though we left the ACs off after the first night. The smell may be harmless, or within the building air ducts not the unit, but it was certainly anomalous to us and we had hoped it would be addressed during our stay. ##### Jessika D. This place is just like the pictures. It is as quirky as it is fun. Really loved the washer and drier. Water pressure in tub not good and air conditioner in small room off kitchen did not work. The apartment itself is so unique and comfortable, the location is central and the apartment has all the amenities one might need for a short or extended stay.
