Farmhouse located on the Brenta Riviera, in a strategic point between the art cities of Venice, Padua and Treviso. Comfortable and well-kept farmhouse surrounded by a 3000 m2 park. Ideal for large groups. High quality interiors and exteriors: a perfect mix between Venetian & Tuscan style. Terracotta floors and oak wood. Furniture in solid oak, cherry and walnut wood. Bathrooms in precious glass mosaic en suite. Free Wifi, fenced park with parking. Each 3 bedrooms on the first floor have air conditioning, the bedroom on the ground floor has a fan. The best way to get around is by car. There are public transport links to the cities of Venice or Padua. Mira-Mirano train station at 4 km ( free parking), bus stop at 1 km. We are in the countryside but the towns of Dolo and Mira are very close to us. Our guests often enjoy jogging or simple walks in the surroundings. An oasis of peace near Venice, but far from the bustle of the city. Dolo is a historic village with a Monumental Squero and an ancient mill that is still working today. Since May 1 2022 Padua has been a UNESCO World Heritage city. Padua boasts three thousand years of history, a city of great historical and artistic value with a medieval soul. Here are some of the many monuments/squares to visit: \- the Scrovegni Chapel painted by Giotto, \- the Palace of Reason, \- the Basilica of Sant'Antonio, \- the Botanical Garden, Unesco heritage. The oldest Botanical Garden in Europe. \- the large Prato della Valle square, \- but much more.... Not far away you will find the largest thermal center in all of Europe: the Euganean Spas on the Euganean Hills ( Unesco Heritage). Numerous cycle-tourist routes pass through our area: \- Aida route, (Bicitalia 20) which joins the Moncenisio to Slovenia. We are on the route a few km from Venice after Padua. \- Lake Garda-Venice1 route (Bicitalia 20): regional itinerary that starts from Bolzano and the last stage is in Dolo. \- Venice country bike tour route: from Dolo to Fusina, along the Brenta Riviera. We are also on the Camino di Sant'Antonio: one of the most fascinating paths to walk or cycle! The main itinerary follows in the footsteps of the journey made by Sant'Antonio starting from the locality of Camposampiero at the gates of Padua. Camposampiero stopped the last days of his life before arriving in Padua where he perished. The alternative route is the one that starts from Venice in a scenario that follows the Brenta river up to Padua, and then continues up to the Sanctuary of La Verna in Tuscany. We wanted to see both Venice and Padua but did not want to stay in either place, so this mid-point spot was ideal, and proved to be the perfect spot for us. The host was wonderful. Excellent communication. All the amenities available and a very suitable place for myself and three adult children to say. Each of the 4 bedrooms had its own en suite full bath. This property has been very well taken care of, has all the modern appurtenances, but also is decorated in a very charming way. Their beautifully restored 200 year old home sits on a lovely park like setting. Since we did not have a rental car we relied on Dario to transport our group of 8 into Dolo for dinners, to the train station and airport. Cristiana and Dario couldn’t have been more accommodating! Their recommendation for dinner at “Al Cristo” in the quaint town of Dolo was so good we returned the next evening. This property is comfortable, clean, with wonderful owners! This is a beautiful place to stay on the countryside not too far from the Venice main square. A short walk to the bus station will take you there. The hosts Dario and his wife live in the house next door and are very accommodating. They will take you to the market or bus by request for a fee, but definitely worth it if needed. They answer any questions you have phone in a timely matter. They left welcome gifts for us. Dario met the taxi on the road by bike to guide us to the house. This is a great place for a big family! Dario did a lot of the work on the restoration of their home (maybe all of it) and it was beautiful craftsmanship. The country house was very comfortable for our family group of fifteen-grandparents, parents and children. Three of the four large bedrooms could accommodate four persons and the fourth bedroom was a comfortable king sized bed which slept two. The woodwork inside the house was lovely and added to the warmth. Cristiana made us feel so welcome and was a ray of sunshine. She served the wonderful meal that Dario prepared which was a highlight for us to be able to remain comfortably at home after a day of sightseeing in Venice. The yard and garden were lovely and we would certainly return in warmer weather to enjoy more of the outdoor surroundings. The town of Dolo was charming and fun to see. We loved the house, and appreciated the eye given to detail in the woodwork and integrated 'Murano' glass creations. We were also able to purchase some glass from a selection tastefully displayed in the house where we stayed. Our group of 13 easily had enough room to sleep, relax and eat, while the lawn and play area was enjoyed by the younger ones. English is spoken which was helpful in planning our stay as well as conversing with our caring hosts. We were happy to leave our vehicle at the local train station (approx 5-8 min away) and take the train into Venice. There are beautiful fields surrounding this property and it was very quiet. The radiators kept us perfectly comfortable as the temperatures in April can be chilly still. Christiana and Dario are the perfect hosts, helpful and discreet. The property is well placed and beautifully clean however it is the Hosts that really made our holiday. They were on hand without being in the way and from us arriving late (meeting us in the dark so we didn’t go the wrong way) to ordering our sons birthday cake they were amazing! And our experience with Dario and his beautiful wife were amazing. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated and most of all it was the trutly Italian experience. We LOVE IT!!!! Will definitely come back again. It was very close to Venice and all the activities we had schedule. And to top it off they cook an AMAZING Italian meal. The whole italian experience. DARIO is an amazing chef. Once again the best place to stay in Venice Italy. Will recommend to all my friends. Everything described in the rental overview is correct and more. ##### Debbie P. They were were the perfect host and hostess. We were a party of eight from Ontario Canada. Dario and Cristiana picked us up at the train station in Mira which was a short 15 minute train ride out of Venice, and transported all of us and our luggage to their villa about 15 minutes away. The villa is absolutely beautiful situated in the countryside with gorgeous gardens and lots of space to relax. As one of our group put it "it was the icing , whipped cream and the cherry on top" finale of our 12 day vacation. If you have an opportunity or the time Dario is a fabulous chef and cooked us our dinner the last evening we were there. The best Tiramisu any of us have had. Five stars does not seem to be enough if there were 10 stars it would be tops ##### Melanie B. They helped us with understanding Venice, places to eat, and what to do. They were gracious and were totally fine to work with us when we needed to leave our luggage for a few hours after check out. We loved it here as a group and would use this home again if we travel here again. Each room had their own bathroom and privacy. Would be excellent for children and families. This residence was perfectly located outside of Venice. Allowed us to enjoy local life. The owners were so kind and hospitable. Gave us recommendations for restaurants in nearby town. Had a few issues with hot water and internet, when called they answered promptly. We would stay here again. Wish we had more time to enjoy the yard! All I can say is I wish I could give this property and the hosts (who treated us like family) 10 stars!! The home is beautiful, well equipped, clean and extremely large. We were a family of 6 but the house would accommodate many more very comfortably. The grounds are beautiful, well maintained and so serene and nice to come home to after a busy day in Venice! I cannot say enough about the wonderful hosts...Cristiana, Dario, their family and the family dog Bruno. They were so gracious and helpful from my initial question to the last day of our trip. We did not rent a car so Dario picked us up from the airport, drove us to their favorite restaurants, took us to the train station to go to Venice, and took us back to the airport when we returned home. The best dinner we had on our trip was the night that Dario cooked us dinner! He also is a fabulous cook! When you stay here you must have the family make you dinner. It was the highlight of our trip! Also, when we arrived there was water, a bottle of wine, and cookies which was so nice after a long flight. The hosts think of everything to make your stay enjoyable. If you will be staying in the Venice area do not miss staying at this lovely home. You will not be sorry! Our family cannot wait to return.
