Luxury canal-side apartment in heart of Dorsoduro - Fully Inclusive Rates

  • Ca' Leonessa is a recently (2010) restored luxury apartment located in the heart of Venice. It is a short walk from the bus and railway stations. Due to its superb location all the sites of Venice are either within walking distance or a couple of stops on the vaporetto. In the furnishing of the apartment the prime consideration has been to create a comfortable and welcoming oasis for you after a busy days sight seeing in magical Venice.

    The living room (which overlooks the canal and the Campo San Barnaba) features two Natuzzi sofa's (one double sofa bed) a Linn sound system and HD television with DVD/CD player.

    Both bedrooms are bright and airy with comfortable beds and have plenty of hanging/storage space in the bespoke wardrobes. Bedroom 1 has a luxurious double bed with fine linens and traditional Venetian fabrics. Bedroom 2 has two single beds. Both bathrooms are fully tiled with power showers.

    The kitchen has been hand built and features dining for 6.

Great location. Communication was very good. Property was spacious. Close to lots of restaurants and attractions. Only negatives were the mattresses were at their end of usefulness and not enough toilet paper. Ran out the last day, 5 people with 2 rolls and 1 spare for 3 nights isn’t enough for us. Bianca was very helpful getting us in and explaining the property and surrounding area.

Looking around Venice for a place to stay, this one stuck out when our other VRBO did not work out. It’s in a great location and we were able to pop in and out no matter where we were on the island. Check in was great and easy and I was able to contact the host directly. The second bedroom was a little tight for two adults, but we also did not hang up our clothes because it was a short stay. Overall, we enjoyed the apartment, and the AC was cool.

Ca' Leonessa is situated in a wonderful area of Venice. It is a lively, mostly Italian, neighbourhood. The area has many good places for dinner. It is very near the vaporetto stop which makes it very easy to get around. It was nice being so central but not with the maddening crowd. The apartmenet is a good layout and the rooms are spacious. I would stay here again.

It's a nice property, clean and close to many restaurants. Conveniently located close to canal bus stop. Please do not call this a luxury apartment. No toiletries, no coffee/filters, this a just a home with beds. No luxury amenities.

Such a wonderful stay in the heart of Venice! This apartment has absolutely everything that anyone would need to feel comfortable and to enjoy the city and which is situated directly on one of the canals by Ca' Rezzonico. Restaurants and cafes right at your door step. Large and roomy!

Really nice apartment - conveniently located. There were some basics we wanted - like dish soap - that we were able to pick up at a supermarket located within a stone’s throw from the apartment. The piazza nearby has really good gelato (including a flavor I’ve not been able to find elsewhere) and there is a really good caffe and pastry shop around the corner as well. Communication was great. Also a secure luggage locker super conveniently located across the canal, 50 feet away. Inside, there are multiple small steps between some rooms - in case that important. Bathrooms and kitchen were nice. Master bedroom is probably due for a mattress replacement but honestly a great spot overall.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at this apartment.Perfect location for all the main sights of Venice. Close to lots of places to eat and great shopping.The apartment was clean and spacious and would definitely recommend staying here.

Everything was wonderful. The host had a management team that was in contact with us throughout our stay and they were most helpful. The location of the property was incredible. A few hundred feet off the Grand Canal and just mere feet from Campo San Barnabas and Campo Santa Margherita. We were living among the locals as it were. We really felt as though we were returning home after sightseeing each day. We will gladly stay here again the next time we visit Venice.

We recently stayed at this apartment. It is well kept and in a fantastic area for exploring. The stairs leading up to the apartment were not steep. The front air-conditioning did not seem to be working right but we did not call to ask if it could be fixed. I’m sure if we had called they would’ve taken care of it. The other air conditioning was fine for all of us. During our trip to Italy, we stayed at a few different rentals, and this was one of our favorites. This comes after one in Florence where we actually had to go get a hotel because it was not at all what was presented in the listing. This listing was very accurate and I would certainly stay again next visit.

Quirky and comfortable apartment in a really great location. Close to restaurants and bars, but the quieter side of venice is not far away. Really enjoy our stay in this place!

Excellent Neighborhood

We really enjoyed our stay in Venice. The area was great with excellent restaurants and a small market, and pharmacy around the corner. The owner and property manager were very communicative.

Wow! Amazing place in the best location

Exceeded our expectations! We stayed in five places in our two week stay in Italy and this was by far the best accommodation. Close to restaurants and shopping and the incredible view of the canal.
