Found in a Venetian "Palazzetto" (literally small Palazzo) this apartment has been recently renovated by the best artisans in town, using the finest materials and techniques, while respecting the building's original structure. Beautifully furnished with an elegant mix of antiques and designer furniture, it is laid out on about 200 square meters and 2 floors. It is composed of a bright living room with plenty of windows overlooking the square, the church and the canal, furnished with two comfortable leather couches, a large double sofa-bed and two antique armchairs for a total of 7 seats. In the dining room there is an extensible table for up to 10 people and a well-equipped full-optional kitchen. The apartment has a total of 4 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms. The main bedroom with king size mattress and en-suite bathroom offers a stunning canal view; the 2nd bedroom is furnished with two single beds that can also be used as a double beds, this is the most spacious and offers a stunning view on the square and the church; the 3rd bedroom is a little smaller, faces onto private gardens and has a queen size bed. On the ground floor there is a 4th very spacious bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. It is completely independent from the first floor and accessible from the communal entrance hall. This room can be set up with either a king-size bed or two single beds upon request. The highlights of this property are the amazing views that can be enjoyed from almost every room on the Canal, Church, Square and the famous Squero di San Trovaso, the historic Gondola yard known to be the last still active in Venice main island. In my opinion, without question, the best place to stay in Venice. Accommodations that were even better than the beautiful pictures and description. A sense of pride by the owners in every way. The ideal location, on a square with gondola/canal views on 2 sides as well as a church, students studying, Venetians having lunch. The place is close to transportation from either Zattere or Academia. Everything is easily reachable. The general atmosphere of the place is new, clean and white. There is no microwave which we had expected from the listing, and which we really needed. The place is also really two apartments, only connected by the central stairwell with two separate keys. We wish we could have rented just the upstairs apartment, with three bedrooms and three baths, but it was not offered that way. The rules on trash (Venice rules) are difficult. The counter space is very limited and the kitchen storage is a little difficult with the cabinet doors opening in an odd direction. The manager is helpful and friendly.
