The apartment is on the first floor of a XVI century palace with private water entrance. It's very comfortable in size (around 1615 sqft). It has three bedrooms (a master bedroom and two large single rooms), a fully equipped kitchen, a large living room with a new big sofa and two armchairs. It has two bathrooms (the master one with the bath and shower, the second one with the shower). It is furnished with antique Venetian style furniture. The apartment looks out on one side on to a small courtyard with a Romanesque well-head and the extraordinary view of St. Mark’s bell tower and on the other on to three typical inner canals and a stone bridge right in front of the living room window. ## Property amenities ### Beach - An informational book in the living room gives lots of great tips for touring the city. And be sure to lift the top of the desk in the hallway to find business cards for restaurants and other shops. As an added bonus, Monica was able to arrange a private tour with a friend who is a professional guide, which was fabulous! It is right on the canal and you can look out your windows and see and hear the gondola's going by. Nice to have two bathrooms with showers in each and three bedrooms for our family of 5\. The property gives you plenty of space and is decorated so beautifully. The airport lost our luggage and had to deliver to our VRBO that evening. Brother-in-law Luca who helped us check in provided many helpful suggestions and was most gracious. The views from the windows were even better than in the posted photographs. The canal outside of the living room and master bedroom was the route for the gondolas- so we often heard musicians performing as they floated past us. Stay here and you will have the ultimate Venetian experience. On a practical note - market and coffee shops close by, plenty of hot water and wonderful showers,WiFi worked really well, very very spacious, air-conditioner in the master bedroom kept us cool in the unseasonably warm weather. Very easy to get to all areas we wanted. It was also quiet because it was in a little alleyway and not right where everyone was walking. We enjoyed our time here as it was a quick walk to nearly anything you want to do. Very typical Venice apartment though - so showers are sized to fit small people (not a problem for us). Kitchen was great though and allowed us to do some breakfasts at the house. We came to eat Italian though so didn't do any significant cooking in the house. So if you want that- this apartment is in the busy part of Venice. Transportation was very convenient The canal has busy noise in the morning. Our family of 4!adults stayed here and the flat was definitely big enough. The 2 single beds are a bit small if you are an adult. Communication was excellent on how to reach the lovely apartment from the train station (use line 1 - go to the far right after exiting Santa lucia station). Monica met us and gave great information on places to eat along the way. Beds were very comfortable and the views from our livingroom were amazing - Gondolier route (singing/just watching them navigate through the canal).Warm, inviting atmosphere within walking distance to many attractions or other neighborhoods. When leaving - you will need a water taxi (if early am flight. Need to take the "N" and book water taxi - pickup will be Riva del Carbon (near the Rialto Bridge).
