Known throughout the world as the city built on water, given its construction on 100 islands in the lagoon, Venice is one of Italy's most popular locations worldwide.
It is a real open-air museum, thanks to its historical and artistic heritage made of churches, palaces, and museums.
Strolling through Venice is like diving in the past: the so-called calli (streets) are dotted and framed by aristocratic buildings such as the Doge's Palace, the historic home of the Doges, spectacular bridges including the famous Rio Alto Bridge, and canals navigable by gondolas, waterbuses, and boats of all kinds.
The heart of the city is the enchanting St. Mark's Square, which houses the Basilica of the same name and welcomes thousands of tourists from all over the world every day.
The most famous local event is definitely the Carnival, thanks to its centuries-old tradition of masks and costumes that enliven the streets every year.
Last but not least, the famous "Bàcaro Tour" is a must: a tour among taverns where to taste local wine along with cicheti, typical Venetian tasty bites.
The accommodation is 2,2 km from the Venice Santa Lucia train station.
Located in Venice, this apartment is in the city centre. Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Basilica are notable landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Lido of Venice Beaches and Marina di Venezia. Venetian Museum of Natural History and Maritime Station are also worth visiting. Visit our Venice travel guide

Location is central. Showers are usually tight and hot water runs out, if you have more than 4 people showering back to back. This was pretty annoying as some of us could not shower in the morning. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay at this property.
