Awesome location
What a great location! Plenty of space and a fenced back yard! Pet friendly with all the beach toys and bikes to enjoy. We will definitely be back. Shark teeth and shells made this trip one that we enjoyed!!

Great location and communication
2 minute walk from the beach and 10 minute bike ride into down town Venice made this the perfect location. The spot was quiet and peaceful and the kitchen was well equipped too and there was a great grill and outdoor eating area. There were 4 bikes which was great. Only there was no pull out couch, only an air mattress to sleep the other two people which was fine. Overall a great stay, would recommend!

Great location, private back yard - quiet neighborhood - short walks to the beach- Listing said toilet paper and shampoo was provided but there was only one roll of TP and one small tube of shampoo. Other than that everything was fine.

Definitely Saved Money
Location to beach, washer and dryer, cleanliness and fenced back yard for dog was great. The duplex was roomy, the furniture and bedding were comfortable and the maintenance crew(Kayla and Dan) were wonderful and responsive. Unfortunately the landlord has not renovated what looks like the original ?60’s bathroom(broken tile) and kitchen cabinets and countertops. Some baseboards need to be reinstalled as well. The price reflects the needed improvements however. Also, the check in instructions should include the need to enter through the white tall fence/gate on the left of the house, not the front door(used by the other duplex unit).

DO NOT STAY HERE
We arrived to NO smoke or carbon monoxide detector. Mold was growing in the bathtub. The shower curtain was dirty. The weather was cold and we had no heat. We called the property manager but no one ever came out to the rental so we never had heat. Dirt and popcorn were left in a dust pan and the way I found out was by observing our dog try to eat the popcorn. Some type of crumbs were in the utensil and bathroom drawers. The managers admitted they “dropped the ball” but have nothing to compensate us.

We really liked the price, especially for the proximity to the beach and downtown Venice. Great dining close by too. The condo is spacious for being only a one bedroom, one bath unit. We were happy that we could bring our pup with us, too. As with most vacation rentals, furniture was adequate but rather dated. This is especially true at this price point which we will put up with considering price is important to us vs decor and furnishings. Bathroom was super dated with tub that needs TLC. Home needs deep cleaning, especially drawers, closets, baseboards, and blinds. It was clean otherwise. Nice quiet area.

The listing says it’s a four house and it’s actually a front apartment and the rear apartment so it’s listed as a full house but when you check in it’s a Partman a or B when I took the listing it was listed as a two bedroom one king bed, two twin bed But that is the a apartment and I was not aware of that because it didn’t say anything on the listing. I have a copy that said, I was renting a one king bed, and two twin bed when I got to the house it was only one king bed, one bedroom, it said they were bicycles for cruisers, which actually has blown up tires, the place was very nice needed some cleaning and the location was nice but not what was listed in the app?

Wondeful location
We enjoyed our stay at the Venice Beach condo!! Property was clean and in the perfect location. Easy access to the beach, Centennial Park, and the strip of shops and restaurants. Property manager was quick to respond.

This private duplex was a short walk to Venice Beach & a short, pretty drive to beach restaurants and Historic downtown. Very comfortable accomodations, nicely furnished but needs tile work in the bathroom and a bed skirt to cover the king size box springs. Enjoyed our stay!!

GREAT RELAXING STAY
Stayed here for me and my wife’s anniversary. The unit was very clean and had all that we needed. Beach access was great and it felt like having the beach to yourself at times. The beach supplies that were offered were great especially looking for shark teeth. Fishing was really good as well. Good privacy with a nice lanai.

Great Location!! Clean and Quiet!!
So enjoyed our stay! Great communication with owner! Walkable to beach, restaurants, shops, and parks. Super clean rental. Loved the new couches!! Well stocked kitchen, plenty of linens, beach chairs and bicycles provided. Large fenced backyard was so nice for our dog.

We loved it.
The property was very clean and they had just got new furniture and it looked great. We loved everything about it. It was a close walk to the beach and we loved the house and our back yard. We had a wonderful time. We will definitely be returning next year.

Disappointing stay at VRBO in Venice
The TV does not have local channels it is only a streaming service. The listing stated Xfinity TV with satellite/cable. I contacted Bishop but he replied VRBOs don’t have cable service and said I should stay at a hotel next time! The floors were always very dirty. The AC unit is noisy because the furnace is in the wall next to the bedroom and the outdoor unit is next to the patio and porch. The bathroom is outdated and dirty with mold surrounding the tub. The vanity is less than 3 ft. tall making it uncomfortable to use the sink. The cooking odors from the neighboring unit come through the circulation vents into this unit. I would not recommend staying at this VRBO.

Patricia, I’m sorry to hear you were disappointed in your stay. Our listing did state “xfinity tv” and I understand where that was misinterpreted as having cable but it’s the xfinity app. We offer quite a few streaming apps. on our smart TVs/ fire sticks. When you contacted us, we were only made aware of your disappointment with not having cable. Had you voiced a concern about “dirty” floors, we could have easily and happily sent our cleaning crew back out to take care of that for you!

dirtiest place I ever stayed. and we travel a lot.
nice location, however a few bumps in the road, place was so dirty I took my shoe off and an hour later the bottoms of my feet were black, mold growing in bathroom. spores all over the place, auto lock on back back stop working for a minute try calling Bishop no one answered. fan in dining room would not turn off. so we ate out on the porch. beware.

A wonderful romantic getaway home
We had an amazing time at the property. The host had great communication, we had lots of privacy even with sharing the duplex, and the bikes and beach things available in the garage were a great touch! We biked to dinner and downtown, were able to get to the beach in two minutes or less, and loved the area!

Issues
Nice location but ran into several issues. Lamps in condo didn’t have working lightbulbs, no washcloths in cabinet. Contacted owner to get some. The towels that were in the cabinet were damp. No beach towels, again contacted owner. Some were provided. Bathroom didn’t look like it was cleaned. Paid a little more for this place compared to where we normally stay in siesta. Had higher expectations because of the price. Won’t be back.

Perfect place for our Venice Horse Show
I wanted to spend two weeks in Venice with my daughter so she could have the opportunity to show at Fox Lea Farms. I also wanted to bring my dogs - this place was so perfect. An easy walk to dog friendly restaurants and the beach. The dog beach was just a short drive. The owners were responsive and so flexible when our dates changed. I could not have been happier and would come back again. The unit is very private and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we wanted and having a washer and dryer was a savior!

Our family!
I thought this rental was good for a week stay or longer It’s I super outdated but we spent most out time on the beach.. As a family of little ones next time we will definitely go for something with a pool weather private or community. My only complaints are 1. Their weren’t any wash clothes or trash bags. 2. We were playing outside with our boys and the renters have a dog and we stepped in Dog Poop. I’m a dog persons we have two large dogs, i know they poop but it looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned up in several day or longer. I was irritated. Other than that for the price you cant beat it!

Great place and location! Very short walk to the beach. Short walk to downtown area. Great getaway!
