A lovely hotel with boutique style rooms. Cleaned well everyday. The breakfast was first class. Excellent choices with extremely lovely staff. Would highly recommend. Situated in a lovely place within easy access of the train station. Some lovely restaurants in the area for food in tge evening.

I was able to check in early which was a bonus. Nice clean room. Right in the heart of the old town. Good breakfast, they were able to get me some gluten free bread. Nice friendly staff.

Great location, friendly and clean

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Skandia. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The location is perfect - a short walk from the train station. The castle was also only a short walk. The street food centre was also very close with some excellent choices.

Lovely room. Had everything you could need, nothing over the top, just clean functional and comfy, great breakfast, lovely staff and a brilliant location. I would definitely book again. Thanks.

Staff are always super friendly, rooms are clean and simple. Decent coffee near the entrance with nice biscuits.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Very clean and comfortable room. The room did get very warm (even with the radiators offf in December) but the windows opened, so we could cool it easily. Staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast buffet was delicious, with a range of fresh and healthy food. We enjoyed cosy hour between 5 - 6pm, where the hotel provides a complimentary wine/beer/non alcoholic drink in the bar/lounge area. We would happily stay here again.

Perfect canal side position. Tea/coffee facility in lovely common room. You feel a link to its history as Seaman’s Hostel. Rooms are small but sufficient. If you are sensitive to street noise (not cars or music, but people talking in street and happy voices from cafes across canal)maybe don’t ask for a canal view room. Staff very welcoming and helpful.
