Right in front of Vatican museum which was extremely convenient for me since the main purpose of this Rome trip was visiting Sistine chapel, also turned out that a meeting point of my guide tour at 7am was by a cafe at just the next door. The room was decently clean and sorted, I loved the contemporary ...
It was a great stay. Rudi was an excellent host. The place is right across the Vatican Museum, St.Peter's Basilica is just a 5-minute walk and St. Michael's castle a 10-minute walk.
Rooftop terrace was delightful Helpful pleasant staff Adorable little bar with fair price Comfortable safe room Ideal location for Easter festivities No negative comments
Great breakfast, excellent location, clean rooms and comfortable bed. Staff at front desk very helpful
It was close to vatican and restaurants and had a great garage
Excellent location for visiting the Vatican! Close to Cipro subway stop & lots of restaurants & cafes. Friendly, helpful people! Great value.
We liked the location and the staff was very friendly. Everything was clean but the complimentary breakfast was very poor. The food was always cold and the bread and buns were stale.
One of the things that I like when I travel is to have time away from other tourists. New Design St Peter was close enough to walk to most major attractions and far enough away to provide the peacefulness of home. The room is in a well kept building on a quiet street with 3 excellent restaurants ...
Very nice hotel quite central comfortable room and very helpful staff
Rome is a city associated with many things: ancient ruins like the Colosseum, fine Italian dining, iconic Renaissance artworks, and even a long history of football fandom. But for some, Italy’s capital is perhaps most famous for being the home of the smallest country in the world, the Vatican City.
One of the main draws for tourists visiting Rome is the Vatican City. Whether or not you’re Catholic, it’s an undeniably beautiful part of the world, home to some of the most celebrated artworks and architectural wonders on the planet. Start with a wander around St Peter’s Basilica, where you’ll find Michelangelo’s famous Pietà, before heading into the Sistine Chapel for a tour of the Vatican Museums. Comfy footwear is advised, as the queues can be long!
Located on the northern boundaries of the Vatican City, the Vatican Museums (Musei Vaticani) are home to an impressive collection of exquisite artworks, compiled by former Popes and incorporating Michelangelo’s stunning Sistine Chapel. If you’re keen to get a head start on the other tourists, consider using Expedia’s handy search tool to book a hotel close to the Vatican Museums.
