"I've noted others have thought the same. I wouldn't clas this as a spa hotel and feel it sets expectations that won't be met. However as a mountain hotel it is lovely. There are alot of steps! 86 outside steps to our room, which was hard work as we were on motorbikes with 3 panniers each. It meant 172 steps for breakfast in waterproofs as raining. Car drivers have to leave the car down the hill and walk up to hotel. All of that was was part of the charm after the initial surprise lol. Breakfast was lovely and so was room. Room with hot tub and sauna can be booked for an hour, it gets filled for you so is not very hot. Village had one restaurant open (Oct) but it was really nice."
"Excellent hospitality, amazing breakfast with locally sourced food (home made pies by the owner’s wife, honey, grapes) and view. Rooms are comfortable with a local decorative touch. The only thing is that the neighbouring house’s smoke from the chimney landed on the deck."
"This family-run hotel is so charming. It’s in a great location. Know that there is a lot of step and hill climbing in Metsovo. If that is not for you, you should avoid this village."
"We loved it here. Although it was quiet due to being early October it is a beautiful hotel & the walk into Metsovo is lovely. A wine tour is a must too.
The restaurant & bar sadly weren’t open when we were there but there were options in town."
"Grand Forest Metsovo is an exceptional, top-tier hotel. The lobby is remarkably luxurious, featuring an open fireplace with a live fire burning at all times. Rooms offer panoramic mountain views overlooking the picturesque town of Metsovo. The service delivered by the entire staff is of the highest standard, and the breakfast is excellent. The overall ambiance is truly unique, making this a highly recommended destination."
"Excellent service and amazing hotel. The rooms were very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and everyone made us feel welcome. Highly recommended!"
