Everything on the listing was extremely accurate, down to the time to Capilano Park and things to do in Edgemont Village. Location is extremely quiet. Communicating with the owners was very easy leading up to and during the stay. We had a great time staying here!
The host was very nice. We had ebikes that they allowed us to store safely in their yard. Shower had great pressure and hot water. Bed was very good. The area was wonderful only 2 blocks from town.We stayed 1 month and felt the unit was too small for such a long stay. Pictures made it look bigger. Also very dark with one small window in bathroon and 1 med. window in bedroom. About 500 sq feet total. Parking was at a premium at times due to daily communters into Vancover. This would be a great stay for a few days or maybe a week, but no longer.
The "Haven" in Edgemont Village, North Vancouver was exactly that for us. We flew in from Ontario due to a family health crisis and this suite was just what we needed. It was fully equipped to prepare our own meals, easy walk to a full service grocery store as well as bakery, coffee shops, restaurants, drug stores and other amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed walking the lovely quiet neighbourhood and chatting with residents and their dogs. Our days were primarily spent at Lions Gate Hospital and the drive was a stress-free simple route that got us to the parking lot in under 10 minutes. While it would have been nice to be walking distance the tranquility of Edgemont made up for the drive. There is a wonderful ravine/park behind the house which is another world away from the stress we were under. Our hosts were quick to respond when needed and respected our need for space during this very trying time. We would highly recommend both the location and the suite. It is as pictured in the listing, compact but has everything needed for an independent stay. The in-suite laundry was especially appreciated in our situation.
This unit is a basement apartment that was so comfortable and convenient for my husband and I who were traveling to the Vancouver area for the first time. We could walk up to the coffee shop every morning before we started our excursion for the day. Very convenient for a day trip to Squamish, Stanley Park/Vancouver,and Capilano. Make sure to check out Cleveland Dam and the trails there. We played golf at Northlands and really enjoyed it. The unit was well stocked and quiet, the bed sleep great and I loved the water pressure in the shower. Having a washer/dryer was a bonus as I could wash all of our hiking clothes before we left to embark on a cruise to Alaska. We never saw the hosts but we didn’t need to - everything was perfect!
Overall we really enjoyed our time spent at this property in North Vancouver. The unit was almost exactly as described in the listing and was very clean, compact and liveable. It had a well equipped kitchen and laundry facilities. If there would be any complaint it was the amount of left over food that was in the refrigerator. Many previous guests had left partially used containers of jams, condiments, oatmeal and the like and it was actually rather unappetizing because there was no idea of how old or clean the contents were. I would much prefer to have no food or only unopened food upon our arrival. The immediate area around the unit was beautiful and well landscaped and the short walk to the village got you to the shops and restaurants as well as to the bus stop for connections to downtown or Lonsdale Quay. The Capilano bridge park area is literally within walking distance and well worth the effort. All in all I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay in North Vancouver.
We stayed for a week at the Haven for a much needed couples getaway from life and kids. We celebrated our anniversary, a 40th birthday and Father’s Day. The Haven is located in a very welcoming, walkable neighborhood with nearby restaurants, shops and grocery stores. Plus the convenience to nearby attractions made our trip more enjoyable! It was the perfect!
We couldn't have been happier with our stay. An amazing part of Vancouver to stay in - the cutest town. Our hosts were excellent and the property is exactly as shown. This is the place you need to stay in Van!

Great location —-close to trails. Very short walk to the small coffee stores—- our stay was great .Will definitely come back
Loved this place, clean and quiet, located in nice little community, great grocery store and little shops to walk to. Full kitchen, top quality everything, wonderful soaking tub, very comfortable bed, nicely decorated.
This suite is private, clean and cozy. Well furnished, with a very
comfortable bed, and fully equipped kitchen. In a quiet residential neighbourhood., walking distance to 'the village' for all amenities. The hosts are caring and friendly, never intrusive.
A great home-away from home.

The property had everything that was needed in the suite. Nothing was skimped on like in some places I have stayed at and all was good quality. I did find one issue regarding cleaning the room from a previous stay but it was minor and likely a one time thing.
Thank you Ted and Caroline for hosting us.
Your place is beautiful and we could not have asked for more. For those thinking of booking with you, they will not be disappointed. Peace
