Very comfortable beds, good size rooms, excellent front staff and good location.
Reasonable cost for a 1-night transit stay. The front desk is easy to access in the basement next to a pub lounge. The room on the 2nd floor is very quiet throughout the night. Thank you for your kind hospitality.
If you look for somewhere quiet don’t book this hostel. It was not personally a problem for me.
The place is quite old but the premises are really clean. The pictures can be a bit deceiving because they look way newer.
The staff was nice but not very helpful.
Good for the price but if you want quiet, this is not the place to book
Really can't beat the location. Completely walkable, located in the Gastown area its close to the cruise terminal and waterfront. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean, as were the bathrooms. Understand this is an older building, so it's got some quirks. But I loved the cats, gave it a homey feeling. The storage area for your bags was large enough for a carry on and backpack. You pay a deposit for the room key, which is refundable upon checking out and returning the key.
Was a very solid hostel. Everything was good - my only downsides were the bathrooms were very small and the music from the bar was very loud late at night (on a Saturday). Would definitely keep in mind if you’re a lighter sleeper

It’s an old building which has some charm to it but also needs to be better maintained. The doors are hard to open/close and make a lot of noise. The bathroom has no room to put your things while taking a shower or change in privacy. The window is always cracked open and people can look inside the bathroom. Spiderwebs in the ceiling.
The room was nice and bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, the same problem with the window. The restaurant is also an event place and even during the week they have DJs playing until 2am. Even the best earplugs can’t blend out the loud music and bass.
Location is excellent.
The room had a very unpleasant smell, and I could still smell it on my clothes even after 10 days, lol. Other than that, the staff were incredibly helpful. For a short stay, it's not too bad, it might just be that I have a particularly sensitive sense of smell.
The surrounding area wasn't the best, although there are several good coffee shops nearby and it's within walking distance of downtown Vancouver. However, as a solo female traveler, I sometimes felt a bit unsafe.
