"Lynda's accomodation is designed for both form and function. There's enough seating area outside for every type of weather. When it's sunny you can sit in front of the house or lie in the grass, when there's rain you can huddle inside or sit under the canopy. We had some trouble finding the accomodation, so make sure you double check the address beforehand, but Lynda was a dear guiding us there and was always available for questions during the stay. "Lovely pub with rooms in a beautiful village setting. The rooms are fairly small but clean, cozy and looks recently renovated. Well appointed with all the things you need. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order, with tea, coffee, juices and cereal also available. All staff were very friendly and helpful. This is apparently a community owned pub/B&B owned by the village, so deserves to be well supported. Top marks from me, and thoroughly recommended!"

The Mount Inn

8/10 Good

"As always our stay at the Mount Inn was great. Clare and James are very welcoming and make you feel at home. The hotel/pub is very old, which only adds to its character, and we did have an issue with the toilet not being fixed suitably to the floor. However, when I explained the problem to James he fixed it straight away. The included breakfasts are excellent with a wide choice. Other meals in this pub are also good, if you don't fancy going out in the evening. The bar is very relaxed and people very friendly. This was our fourth stay at the Mount Inn and we will be booking again."

"The accommodation had been double booked but they still went above and beyond to find a resolution and we did in fact stay at this lovely property. Our room was immaculate, the bathroom was stunning with the most amazing bath and shower! The food at their restaurant was “to die for”. It just melted in the mouth and service was excellent. We really enjoyed the beer garden and chatting to some of the local people, who met us with warm welcoming smiles. Would definitely stay here again!!"

"When arriving at the hotel you access the car park from the road at the side of the hotel, no signs show this as the car park entrance just 2 very small hotel name signs so easy to miss, you can park at the front of the hotel but this area is sloping so might cause a problem for the less able. The staff on reception are very friendly giving a lovely warm welcome like they are fiends. Some rooms are small but more than adequate, bathroom is more than adequate, bottled water still and sparkling as well as the usual coffee and tea. Bar sells a great selection of beers and spirits…and happy hour is 20% off all drinks!!"

"Quirky place with wooden beams great to have kitchen area. Brilliant location although free parking misleading. You need to be up early to pay but free at night in carpark.Nice to have a decent cuppa and milk and biscuits provided very much appreciated. Comfy beds Many thanks would stay again can't comment on staff as self check-in but good instructions"

"A very nice hotel with lots of character and quirky features. It is ideally located next to the gorge walk and has a few tables outside on the pavement to make the most of the views. We had a room at the top of the hotel with a comfy large bed and lovely bathroom. The staff are young and enthusiastic but lack leadership as witnessed in the dining room. They were disorganised and seemed rather lost. The food at dinner was fairly average but perfectly acceptable."
