The Europa Hotel has a lovely position right on the lake shore with beautiful views along the lake and down to Malcesine. It is far enough out of town to avoid most of the bustle but close enough to walk in to shop, eat or just take the view. The room was very comfortable with a balcony overlooking the lake. The hotel restaurant is a perfect alternative if you do not wish to try what Malcesine has to offer.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Castel Hörtenberg in Bolzano. The location is truly perfect—peaceful and tucked away, yet just a short walk to the heart of the city, making it ideal for exploring while still feeling like a private retreat. Overall, Castel Hörtenberg delivers a flawless blend of elegance, comfort, and warm hospitality. It’s the kind of place that turns a trip into an experience—and one I would return to without hesitation.

Amazing property in a great location. Laundry service, breakfast was wonderful rooftop views were phenomenal. Staff went over and beyond.
