About this property

“Perfectly situated” for Lascaux/Grottes, River Châteaux canoë shade fly screens

  • Built in 2021 Gite Wildflower Lane, is inviting, casual, cool in summer, warm in winter. Your home is attached to main house, but completely indépendant from our home. A Mezzanine bedroom with stairs, like a ladder, but easy to navigate as you have hand rails on both sides. You have a choice of two terraces, your own fenced, private area with Bbq table chairs. Plus you have your own space in our large fenced garden. Garden is shared with owners and pets 2 cats and our friendly dog. Both terraces have your own seating lounging eating area. Also on hot summer days you are welcome to use the owners small, but inviting above ground pool to cool off. If staying for a while you can also share in an aperos evening too :) Inside you have a cosy comfy couch, chair, French TV. Full fridge/freezer, oven, dishwasher,halogen hob. Walk in shower/wet room with hand basin. A separate toilet and handbasin. Full size washing machine with a clothes rack for outside. Shady trees surround the garden. Walk 100 metres to the Vezere river for a swim and or take a canoe along the Vezere, passing 3 chateaux, prehistoric sites, villages, stop for lunch in Saint Leon riverside cafe, dejeuner sur l’herbe. In season /april to October canoes leaves from our hamlet and at the end of your canoeing, the company return you here by mini bus. Our market riverside town Montignac-Lascaux is 4k away, we are surroundes by excellent restaurants, as close as 3k away. Arrive at our gite and relax, or take off and explore the many caves and castles. Time after time guests say “you are perfectly situtaed for all sites” .You could stay in our area for a month and not see all the local sites. Wonderful walking trails on your doorstep too. We are literally on the “velo vert” cycling route. For the second time the tour de France passed right by our hamlet, this year in July 2026. Our hamlet LD les bories, no shops, or commerce, but has a working farm of walnut trees, they make and sell delicious walnut oil. We too have walnut trees and make our own walnut wine, you may get to sample at aperos time, should you choose to join us :)
    If you bring your dog, please note there are cats in the garden. Also if you are not an animal /nature lover this magical hamlet is perhaps not the destination for you. We have only 24 houses in our hamlet 2 of which are working farms. It’s a quiet friendly hamlet, there is activity, a few other holiday homes, tractors, dogs, cats, cattle. Amazing sunrises and sunsets, starry starry nights, owls and other night birds calling. Our local chateau de Losse opposite our hamlet, in july and august has dinner jaz nights, booking necessary. Our local town Montignac has an international music festival in July. there are night markets with music, food wine, in all surrounding villages in july and august. Fabulous traditional country side auberges for delicious Perigoudine lunches as well as as beautiful, 1 with a Michelin star, fine dining restaurants for lunch /dinner. / Construit en 2021 Gite Wildflower Lane, il est accueillant, décontracté, frais en été, chaud en hiver. Votre maison est attachée à la maison principale, mais complètement indépendante de la nôtre. Une chambre mezzanine avec des escaliers, comme une échelle, mais facile à naviguer car vous avez des mains courantes des deux côtés. Vous avez le choix entre deux terrasses, votre propre espace privé clôturé avec des chaises de table Bbq. De plus, vous avez votre propre espace dans notre grand jardin clôturé. Le jardin est partagé avec les propriétaires et les animaux de compagnie 2 chats et notre sympathique chien. Les deux terrasses ont votre propre coin repas pour se prélasser. Également, les chaudes journées d'été, vous êtes invités à utiliser la petite piscine hors sol des propriétaires, mais invitante, pour vous rafraîchir. Si vous restez un certain temps, vous pouvez également partager une soirée aperos :) À l'intérieur, vous avez un canapé confortable, une chaise, une télévision française. Réfrigérateur/congélateur complet, four, lave-vaisselle, plaque halogène. Douche à l'italienne/salle humide avec lavabo. Une toilette et un lavabo séparés. Machine à laver pleine grandeur avec un porte-vêtements pour l'extérieur. Des arbres ombragés entourent le jardin. Marchez à 100 mètres jusqu'à la rivière Vezere pour vous baigner et ou prenez un canoë le long de la Vezere, en passant par 3 châteaux, sites préhistoriques, villages, arrêtez-vous pour déjeuner au café au bord de la rivière Saint Leon, dejeuner sur l'herbe. En saison /d'avril à octobre, les canoës partent de notre hameau et à la fin de votre canoë, la compagnie vous ramène ici en minibus. Notre ville de marché au bord de la rivière Montignac-Lascaux est à 4k, nous sommes entourés d'excellents restaurants, aussi près que 3k. Arrivez à notre gîte et détendez-vous, ou décollez et explorez les nombreuses grottes et châteaux. De temps en temps, les invités disent « vous êtes parfaitement situé pour tous les sites ». Vous pourriez rester dans notre région pendant un mois et ne pas voir tous les sites locaux. De merveilleux sentiers de randonnée à votre porte aussi. Nous sommes littéralement sur la piste cyclable "velo vert". Pour la deuxième fois, le tour de France est passé juste devant notre hameau, cette année en juillet 2026. Notre hameau LD les bories, pas de magasins, ni de commerce, mais a une ferme de noyers en activité, ils fabriquent et vendent de l'huile de noix délicieuse. Nous avons aussi des noyers et faisons notre propre vin de noix, vous pouvez goûter à l'heure des apéritifs, si vous choisissez de vous joindre à nous :)
    Si vous amenez votre chien, veuillez noter qu'il y a des chats dans le jardin. De plus, si vous n'êtes pas un amoureux des animaux/de la nature, ce hameau magique n'est peut-être pas la destination pour vous. Nous n'avons que 24 maisons dans notre hameau, dont 2 sont des fermes en activité. C'est un hameau calme et convivial, il y a de l'activité, quelques autres maisons de vacances, des tracteurs, des chiens, des chats, du bétail. Des levers et couchers de soleil étonnants, des nuits étoilées étoilées, des hiboux et d'autres oiseaux nocturnes qui appellent. Notre château de Losse local en face de notre hameau, en juillet et août, a des soirées jazz, réservation nécessaire. Notre ville locale de Montignac organise un festival international de musique en juillet. Il y a des marchés nocturnes avec de la musique, de la nourriture et du vin, dans tous les villages environnants en juillet et août. Fabuleuses auberges traditionnelles de campagne pour de délicieux déjeuners de Périgoudine ainsi que de beaux, 1 avec une étoile Michelin, des restaurants gastronomiques pour le déjeuner / dîner.
