We were offered 'on-site' parking for 15 Euro a day or the front desk suggested parking in the public municipal lot 1 block away for 4 Euros a day. The staffer pointed in the direction of the lot and suggested using that and saving money. Well, there are TWO municipal lots by the train station. I parked in the one that allows parking 6 days a week. The day of check out, went to retrieve the car, and it was not there. It had been towed away for the weekly Market. The new front desk staff person was helpful calling the police and tracking our car down.
Taking the advise of the front desk employee to save 12 Euros in parking cost me 148 Euros in a parking ticket and tow truck charges.
