Renovated older property. Nice bathrooms. Public spaces unremarkable. Restaurant OK, bar looks fine apart from the constant big-screen TV playing there.
My room, however, was impossible to sleep in. A constant, droning, sub-bass sound from a roof-mounted machine of some sort kept going 24 hours each day. Its variable volume meant I could not sleep for any of the 3 nights I was there, and the hotel either could not or would not move me to a usable room. I would not recommend booking this hotel, but if you do make sure you are not on the top floor or in the wing facing the Ecole des Mines.
