Low and Loud

This was nice enough but anyone booking here needs to read the listing completely. The price was good for Zurich, only about 10 min from the airport which was convenient. But you need to know that there is a shared bathroom which comes with its inconveniences. The proximity to the airport has its inconvenience, too. Every night until 11:30 the flight path for jets taking off goes directly overhead, very low, and very LOUD!!! If you’re deaf or don’t want to sleep until 11:30, then this could be the place for you. With no a/c you need to keep the windows open which further adds to the decibel level of the jets.

So we arrived at the 'office' which is just a condo building. From there its a 3 block walk to the actual room in another condo building. With luggage no help. The room was on the 3d floor, no elevator no help. The ground floor is a guys office who lounges on the couch and talks loudly all day on the phone or in person. The kitchen you see in the pic is also on the lst floor. The room is tiny & basically has a bed, no chairs no place to put luggage. No a/c and 2 outlets one which must have the fan as its sweltering and the other the lamp so basically no outlets. It is a shared bath as was disclosed. It is clean & the coffee is delicious but you've been warned.

The stay was great and the host was amazing. Definitely got the family vibes from them. They did let us check in earlier and made sure that we’ve got everything we needed to stay and to cook. I’ll Definitely come back if I could. Great people!!

The room smelled like urine and is completely bare of any furniture. Sharing the apartment is difficult enough when you need to use the bathroom and it’s occupied but roommates are up all night making it noisy. No transportation support is offered. A cheap place to stay for migrant families who are poor but still not a good experience. Pay a little more and get basic services elsewhere is my recommendation.

Nice share house in Zurich

It was difficult to find the place, we were looking for a building and instead this a family house. we could not see the house number and the GPS keeps getting confuse. The room was large and comfortable but has no AC only one electric fan. The room was very hot. We had to close the windows because airplanes flying over the house. However, it is very convenient if you need to fly the next day, airport is only 5-10 mins away. You will share a bathroom with another room, but that was not a problem. The host were very kind and pleasant. we did not use any of the kitchen amenities. We only stayed for 1 night. There is not parking in the house for the guess, you must find a parking somewhere in the street. We were lucky to find one in from of the house.

The blanket and pillow on the bed smelled like urine, by the time we noticed it was late at night so we took the blankets off. There was a lot of hair on the bed as well.
