The perfect escape to the beautiful crystal-clear Nueces River! The Casita sits on beautifully secluded 4 acres, which also boasts of 400 feet of river frontage! This is the perfect place to escape the city life, where you can spend your time relaxing with your friends & family on the 14x28 covered patio overlooking the beautiful hill country hills! Or if you prefer to be down by the river you can also spend your time on the large covered private deck (not attached to casita) that sits on the riverbank & is equipped w/ a BBQ pit to enjoy a delicious BBQ without missing out on the fun and the amazing views of the river & the hills. The property also has a big fire pit to enjoy a night of star gazing & s’mores. The Nueces River is perfect for swimming, tubing (floating), fishing & kayaking. The property has spectacular views, where you can enjoy watching the wildlife (birds, axis & whitetail deer, etc.), the great big hills & the beautiful Texas sky! The Casita is open concept (No Separate Bedrooms), it boasts of 2 Queen, 2 Full Built-in Cedar Bunkbeds & 2 Twin Trundle Beds, Full kitchen with a dining table for 6 and 2 Full Bathrooms (1 with outdoor access). This property is surely the best place to unwind & relax. The property has an area with a swing set & trampoline for small children to play, with supervision, of course. The downtown shops & restaurants of the quaint small town of Uvalde are a 20minute drive from the property. Not that you would need to go elsewhere from here, but if you wanted to take a drive to visit surrounding areas, the Concan/ Frio River area is a 40-minute drive, Garner State Park is a 45-50 minute drive, the Campwood Dam is upriver & about a 20-minute drive and Park Chalk Bluff is down river and a 5–10-minute drive. * If & when there hasn't been enough rain in our region the river directly in front of the property gets pretty shallow, but there is a spring-fed area just a 5-7minute walk up the river that never runs dry & perfect for swimming. There are 3 photos available to view this area (small white diving board & small children running up).

The property was absolutely breath taking! We really enjoyed the seclusion and the views! We had great communication with our host and the house had everything we needed and more! Would definitely recommend and will be making this our new vacation stop!
We had an amazing stay! The cabin was perfect and so nice! Even nicer than the pictures suggested. The water came up a little while we were there with the rain so that was neat. The location to Chalk Bluff and 19 mile crossing can’t be beat. We will definitely be returning!
The land the cabin is on is very beautiful and scenic! Cabin had everything we needed and was very comfortable and clean. The host Veronica was wonderfully helpful and quick to respond. Chalk Bluff was only a 5 minute drive, which was perfect for our trip. Would definitely recommend staying!
Booked this beautiful “casita” as a last minute getaway for the 4th of July. Kids had a blast running around on the huge open acreage and swimming in crystal clear water of the Nueces River. We also spent one day at the recommended “19 mile crossing” which is minutes away. Owners were very helpful and responsive throughout the booking process. I would definitely recommend and we can’t wait to go back.
Was beautiful out there. Especially at night with all the lights off. The host informed us on the way out that the river was really low. Was kinda bummed. But when we got there it had plenty of water. We were extremely happy with every thing out there. The kids fished for the first time and all caught perch and so excited. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a great time. Exploring the Nueces River, bird watching, star watching, and being with friends and family were unsurpassed.
The Bunkhouse worked very well for cooking, eating, and playing games. We decided to have only 4 people sleeping inside, as the bunk area is a little tight.
The casita and double-swing were wonderful, with a view of the River and the Chalk Cliffs.
We greatly appreciated the solitude--no traffic sounds, airports, or neighbors. This feeling was amplified by the encompassing serenity of the Eclipse, when all sounds stop and a sunset completely surrounded us.
My husband, daughter, and I absolutely LOVED the Secluded Casita. It was located in the perfect area, away from town and not too close to neighbors. The river is a very short walk from the house and there is a great deck with stairs to get into the river. The Nueces River was so beautiful and crystal clear. We went at the perfect time because the river was flowing just right so we did a lot of tubing and kayaking. My advice would be to bring some good hard bottom crocs or tennis shoes since the rocks hurt our feet with regular water shoes. The house had all of the kitchen necessities we needed to cook and we used the bbq pit every night on the porch. The bathroom inside the house was very big and cool with the ac in it. We loved having the washer and dryer to wash our wet clothes and towels each night. The entire house was very clean and welcoming. We cannot wait to go back next summer. It was so relaxing and just what we needed for a good family vacation. The host was very helpful and answered all of my questions promptly. Definitely a 5 star review!!!
Great property for family, lots of activities. Right on the river with multiple spots to swim, play, rocks to jump from and everything. Highly recommend
We went for a quick getaway and had an absolutely amazing time! The cabin was perfect and had everything we needed. Our host was amazing and easy to communicate with. There was some water down in river in front of house but was low at the time which was understandable but it didn’t stop us from going down there and relaxing in the river. We also got some good tips from host and headed over to chalk bluff one day and had an amazing day as well. Over all 10 out of 10 experience!!
We had the most amazing time!! We had swimming holes up and down stream!! Up stream was deeper for and better for my teen kids! We fished, kayaked and swam everyday we were there! Me and my husband loved the little coffee bar also! Got up and drank coffee on the outside deck by the river and seen some deer! It’s a beautiful place! We all slept very comfortably also!! (Pic was taken about a mile upstream when we kayaked down from mile marker 19)
Over all impression was the place was spotless and very clean! The area is secluded, peaceful, and relaxing. The water in the river was low at this time but overall me & my little family enjoyed the place very much. It was also a very cozy home!
Over all very satisfied with our stay. Very clean home that was very stocked with everything we needed (kitchen utensils, trash bags, pots and pans) for a weekend getaway. The property was clean with enough chairs for the whole family. The water wasn’t very high but it was beautiful. Water was very clean and just high enough for my grandchildren to enjoy themselves.
This was a really nice place. We all had a great time.. The owners were very nice and took care of us. We had a frig issue and they brought us another one... The grounds were great, the river was beautiful. The kids had a blast. The big kids too.. The one thing i didn't expect was the deck over looking the river (I assumed it was attached to the cabin by the look of the picture).. It was still really relaxing to sit out there enjoying the sounds of the river and sites.. Either way, I have to admit its still a great place to enjoy with family. We definitely want to come here again..
