Contemporary Seadrift Lagoon Retreat w/ Hot Tub

"Beautiful home and very comfortable!! Kitchen had everything you could need. Beds were comfortable, plenty of space for everyone too. Out back was very enjoyable as well. Easy to kayak or paddle board and very protected from the wind which was a huge bonus.I didn’t read the listing description carefully enough and to access the bunk bed room you have to go through another bedroom. So could be inconvenient for some, like in our particular case, but for some might work great. House was absolutely clean although the hot tub had a very funky smell and caused some skin irritation."

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: very self contained and loved the decor, immediately felt like settling in. I had rented 2 homes for a birthday event with my family and stayed in the larger one, which was quite different and not on the lagoon, also wonderful...... but next time I will stay at 109 Dipsea. Thanks!!!!"

Fresh and Lovely Inner Lagoon Home

"We loved this property and had a great stay. The team at Highway One was super responsive and helpful on questions/issues. The only real issue we had was that there was a strong smell of urine in the small sitting room which basically made that room unusable during our stay. They mentioned that there had been back to back dogs staying before us which was likely the cause. It just would have been nice for there to be a more thorough cleaning before we arrived so that room could be used."
Impressive Panoramic Views on Seadrift Lagoon

"The home was really great for our needs. The main bedroom is tucked away from the rest of the house, which gave my elderly mom some peace from my teen boys. That room has a really beautiful view of the lagoon and the gorgeous cypress tree in the yard. This is the only place I've stayed in seadrift with a really large, shaded yard and firepit, and we really enjoyed those. I also liked that there were ample towels and a well-stocked kitchen. The hot tub wasn't working, but the staff was very responsive in trying to fix it and they provided a reasonable refund since it was not possible to fix during our stay.This house also has really convenient access to the beach just outside the seadrift gate (maybe a 5 min walk), so it has easy access to both beach and lagoon."

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Seaweed growth in the lagoon still has not boxed in this house! It’s getting closer though. But not like all the houses to the southeast that are swamped with algae of some kind. Overall the improvements (new deck; side yard patio seating; driftwood furnishings) are very nice!A couple minor complaints:Not enough plates, bowls and utensils means running the dish washer early. The shower head in the shared bath needs replacing. Water flow is way low and 25% continues flowing out the tub faucet. Again that’s extra water wasted. (We try to conserve water.)Could be stocked with more toilet paper."
