Room was spacious and modern. Bedding was a little thin and uncomfortable. I give a 3 out of 5 for the room. Front desk staff is not accommodating nor helpful. Overall, not bad but not great either.

The property has three elevators only one was working, the trash shoot was not working, on my last day, Friday, December 26 the smoke detector kept beeping, called maintenance. They came and changed the battery. Later that evening, the smoke detector kept on beeping and beeped the entire night and the rest of my stay Saturday morning.

![This is a small state park at the northern end of Santa Cruz' scenic West Cliff Drive and a little over a mile from the Boardwalk, wharf and Main Beach.  A couple of times a year you can see Monarch butterflies during their migration. They are not in the numbers of years past, but you'll still see some.

If you walk north towards the rocks during low tide you will find some amazing tidepools full of sea anenomes, sea urchins, starfish, crabs, hermit crabs, and all sorts of marine life.
