My home is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families with kids, big groups, and furry friends (pets). Welcome to High Peaks Rentals. We are proud to offer multiple 4-8 bedroom luxury log homes in the Whiteface and Lake Placid area, with over 1000+ 5 star reviews. We can host multi-family get togethers and and of course quiet "get away from it all" retreats. All our homes have automatic whole-house backup generators, RV Hookups and EV Chargers. Check out all our homes online by searching for "HighPeaksRentals" (com) This spacious home sits up on the hill on twenty three acres to provide wonderful views of Ebenezer Mountain and the Sentinel Mountain Range. The view can be enjoyed from the 2,000 square foot wrap around deck and covered porch or from inside the home on all three levels through the abundant glass. The property has 550 feet of frontage on the East Branch of the Ausable River. Walk, hike, or cross country ski on the secluded and quiet property. More extensive hiking can be found in the surrounding High Peaks Region. We are six miles from Whiteface Mountain Ski area so you can be on the slopes in minutes. Lake Placid and the Olympic Village are just a nineteen mile ride where you can find many shops, restaurants, and activities. Rivers, lakes, and streams can be found in every direction to enjoy boating, fishing, canoeing, or swimming. Back at the house there is plenty of room to relax with over 4200 sq. feet of living space without a neighbor in sight. The home features a great room on the main floor with twenty six foot high ceilings and a full glass front to let in the view. A center fireplace with a large stone chimney is the only divide between the great room, dining room, kitchen, and foyer to provide a spacious gathering area with plenty of seating. The kitchen has green shaker style cabinets with granite counter tops and stainless appliances and is stocked with all the cookware and settings you need. Also located on the main floor is the master bedroom suite with a king size bed and a walk in closet which has a laundry set. The master bath has a whirlpool tub and a walk in 8' x 4' shower with dual shower heads. There is also a half bath on the main floor. Upstairs there are a total of three bedrooms - two bedrooms with king beds and one bedroom with a twin over twin bunk with a twin trundle as well as a twin over full bunk. The second floor also has two full baths and a large loft area with a queen futon. On the lower level there is a fifth bedroom with a king bed and a sixth bedroom with a twin over full bunk with a full trundle. There is also another full bath, a separate second laundry set, and a very large rec room with a pullout sofa. For the little ones, we also provide a crib with a mattress, a high chair, and a pack 'n play. The lower floor also has a 6 person sauna and walkout to a 7 person hot tub with views! This home has zoned heating and individually controlled cooling in all bedrooms and common areas. All bedrooms and the great room also have ceiling fans. Additionally, the main floor master suite is handicap accessible. There is also a RV Hookup as well as an EV Charger! Finally, there is also an automatic whole-house backup generator on premises so that mother nature doesn't interfere with your stay! Minimum Stay Requirements: Winter months of December, January, February and March - 3 Night Weekend minimums and 2 Night Mid-Week minimums. MLK and Presidents Day are 4 night minimums. Some exceptions apply and shorter stays are sometimes possible, depending on availability, so please submit an inquiry. Late Spring months starting May 15th and through last weekend of June have 3 Night Weekend minimums. Memorial Day is a 4 night minimum. Summer months of July and August have 7 Night minimums, depending on the week and availability. Sunday to Sunday stays are preferred. Some exceptions apply and shorter stays are sometimes possible, depending on availability, so please submit an inquiry. Every family had their own bathroom which was incredibly helpful and it had good hangout space for all age groups. The directions in the contract are important to follow as Google maps brings you to the wrong location. The property is clean and well taken care of. We would stay there again! ##### Julie K. Grandparents, Parents, and Children of all ages were able to comfortably stay and enjoy the property. Great game room in the lower level, spacious rooms and all the staples you would hope a rental has in the kitchen, plus a crib, pack and play, games, etc. Property Manager was responsive and great, we hope to continue our tradition at their properties for years to come!! ##### joseph l. We have a large family gathering every year, getting bigger every year. We fit perfectly with about 20 from 8 months to 75! We had a great time; this is an amazing well-kept property in a quiet location and close to Lake Placid. The owner is great to work with, they are very accommodating and attentive. The lodge was beautiful, clean and everything we wished for. We got to enjoy the hot tub and sauna after our hike and spend the rest of the weekend cooking, eating and celebrating. Each space now has its own heater/AC unit, and the house features electric car charger - a nice touch given rarity of these in the area. The five excellent hikes we did were all within 10-15 mins driving time to their bases, this location is so much better proximity-wise than staying in a hotel in the town of Lake Placid. As always, immediate responses from the host when had questions, and a late checkout was accommodated for. ##### Alex M. The house had lots of space and room enough for our whole extended family. It could have been a tad cleaner and storage for suitcases was a bit of an issue with laundry in the master closet as well as a folding crib in the upstairs closet. Would pack extra towels and wash clothes in the future. Kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary items for cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had 3 birthday parties and I have a large family so this location was absolutely perfect for both the kids and adults! My family had an amazing time and Gene was always there to answer any questions we had throughout our 5 day stay! The interior design of the lodge provides privacy to everyone but also has a large kitchen and living room so everyone still feels connected and close. The kids loved the ping pong table and video game set up as well. Would definitely recommend this to other friends and fsmily members. Can't wait to book again. Everything about the property fit our needs perfectly! The number of beds and bathrooms made it possible to have the family together without being all over each other. The kitchen is well appointed and we were able to cook and serve the group comfortably. Most importantly, the beautiful location, space, layout, and amenities made it possible to host a lovely outdoor wedding celebration! The covered area on the deck was available as a back up plan if the weather did not cooperate. But it did! The house and the yard are well maintained, Gene was easy to communicate with, the cleaning crew does a good job, and everyone was impressed with the setting. We can't say enough great things about this beautiful home! We recently rented this property to host our elopement and it couldn't have been more perfect. The house was a great fit for 12 people including young children. I would definitely stay here again. Gene does a great job including plenty information about the house and what to expect checking in and out. Gene provides more than helpful directions how to get to the house because the house is not found on google maps.
