Holiday in 300 years old, listed mill in an idyllic location

10/10 Excellent

Modern, detached vacation home for two people on the outskirts of a village in the Bavarian Rhön.

Large vacation home with ground-floor access (5-star vacation home)

10/10 Excellent

Sehr empfehlenswert."

New, incredibly cozy vacation home in an old barn, near Lake Ellertshäuser

10/10 Excellent

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Untereßfeld?

The best time to visit Untereßfeld is during the late spring (May to early June) or early autumn (September to early October) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

These shoulder seasons offer comfortably warm temperatures, ideal for exploring the rolling Franconian countryside and local villages without the heat of mid-summer. You'll find the landscape lush in spring or adorned with autumnal colours, great for leisurely walks or cycling excursions.

Couples looking for a peaceful getaway will appreciate the relaxed pace during these times. You can enjoy quiet evenings at traditional Bavarian inns, explore historic sites like the nearby Münnerstadt Old Town, or simply unwind amidst the tranquil scenery.

Families travelling with children might also find these periods appealing, as school holidays in Germany generally fall outside these windows, meaning attractions are less busy.

Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?

You can cancel your hotel reservation on Expedia, though it depends on the cancellation policy of your booking. Most bookings are refundable if canceled within 24-48 hours of the scheduled arrival. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy.
