The rustic luxury of the decor and ambiance is perfect for a discerning couple or small family that is looking for a brief or extended getaway to the Ohiopyle area. Sleeps 2 comfortably. The Springs House is directly adjacent to the C.W. Klay Winery, 10 minutes from downtown Ohiopyle, and minutes from Fallingwater, Kentuck Knob, Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa and Lady Luck Casino. A limited supply of firewood is provided from October through March. THIS PROPERTY IS LOCATED AT APPROXIMATELY 2200 FEET ELEVATION. The cabin was just as pictured on Vrbo. The picture windows in the dining room have clear views of the woods and the stream. I walked onto the deck to listen to the stream and look up at the trees, even though it was chilly outside. The cabin inside was warm and cozy. I would definitely stay in the cabin again in the future when I need quiet time away. After a long day of hiking ohiopyle and exploring falling water, it was nice to enjoy some music at the Winery and then head back to the cottage and make a fire in the fireplace. One note: the tiny TV is nothing to write home about. Cane to see Falling Water but we decided to extend our stay bc the place was so charming. Our host made that easy to do. Great place to relax in as heavy snow fell overnight. No snow removal services but the driveway is flat and not too long so an all wheel drive or 4x4 vehicle is all that is needed to get in and out. A shovel and salt was provided for us to clear our path to our vehicle.
