Had a great stay at the Stratford. Location was great, only hiccup is that they don't have luggage storage if you arrive early or leave later in the day. They refer you across the street to store your bags for $8 a day. I didn't mind, but would have been nice to leave bag with the hotel. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Would recommend this place.

Its a great place for the price. The rooms feel new and were clean. The lobby was nice and the staff were nice. Loved the free coffee in the lobby. Would recommend for anyone looking to stay near Union Square for a low price point!

The room was so nice. Clean and updated. Very simple and minimal. Very comfy bed. Good thermostat adjustments. The only qualm i had and its not a big one. Was the shower watwr would come out when i was showering and the bath mat towel was drenched by the end. Also found some trash under the bed. Haha. But i would highly recommend this hotel. I will definitely stay there again.

L’ Hôtel est bien situé au centre ville. On y accède facilement avec tous les moyens de transport. Les réceptionnistes sont très polis et très accueillant et à tes petits soins, même quand tu ne parles pas l’anglais. Ma chambre était propre. Egalement accès facile à tous les centres commerciaux et il existe des restaurants non loin de l’hôtel. La propreté du hall au 8ème étage est à revoir.

We enjoyed our stay, only minus was the 2 small bathroom with the headshower. In such a tiny shower a hand shower will work better.

I liked front desk staff. Location was perfect. Room was small but clean and cozy. No fridge. No trash can in the room. However. Way better than i expected. Felt safe the second i saw the door system and friendly staffs. Will visit again

For downtown SF, this was inexpensive, simple, & served it’s purpose. It’s almost entirely what I expected for an older classic building-tiny elevator, no particular amenities, small rooms. We booked a twin bed room for a quick business weekend and it was definitely a hobbit hole but fine; cute modern decor and clean. Nice rainfall shower & smart TV. If you’re shy about restroom usage, this is a sliding door setup & you’re pretty vulnerable in terms of sound lol. Cons: it’s April, heat rises though & it’s just an over head ceiling fan for AC along with a screened open window. It was pretty warm. Beds were firm/hard, but hey; this worked for a place to lay your head and not a vacation. Called front desk for more towels for nearly 10mins (why? Idk, it would have been quicker to just walk downstairs; we were being lazy after long flights). Very oddly the front desk didn’t understand what a vending machine was (no…literally) to snag some waters. Asked if there was water & they said no…we walked around a lobby corner & found coffee and chilled orange infused water carafes (bizarre). Thin walls. Overall I would totally stay here again. No frills & you gotta be relatively low maintenance. Around the corner of the hotel is Central Cafe for AM or lunch…RUN there, don’t walk-it was SO good.

The room is enough for one person, all the amenities are good and the design is nice and new. The location is great and the staff is polite and ready to help. What I missed in the room is the view (like any view at all)

always skeptical about hotels but I was surprised. I really enjoyed my 2 night stay at the Stratford! Location is convenient and walkable, so many things near by. Didn’t have a problem with homeless there was a couple obviously but not many near the hotel. Room was kinda small but that was expected. Every clean and beautiful hotel. I would stay again

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel as a single traveller! The check in process was smooth, the lobby was amazing - they offered free tea, coffee and water and the front entrance was always locked so it felt very safe. The Powell and Hyde street Cable Car was basically right out the front too. They don’t do housekeeping but that’s not something I fuss over. Only complaint I have is the fact that the shampoo and body wash seemed to be the same liquid and the conditioner was 2 different liquids mixed together which wasn’t nice to wash my hair with and it feeling bad. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Overall, my stay was fine. I would like to commend the front desk staff for their courtesy and friendly demeanor. The check in process was easy and quick. I understood that housekeeping was not an everyday occurrence, which was fine. I was able to get things like toilet tissue or extra shower gel when I needed them. The room was a bit small but comfortable. Bed was the right firmness and there were plenty of pillows. The shower was spacious and the water temperature was very hot. The issues I encountered were as follows: - The room had an incredibly musty odor - like there was some stagnant water or pet urine somewhere. The front desk attendant told me that there was a no pet policy here. Nevertheless, there was a very pungent odor - I think it was in the small rug that was under the bed. There was also some debris left on the floors and less than a quarter roll of TP left. I suspect that the room was not used for some time. The houseman showed me how to get the AC unit set up and he brought some air fresheners up which did help a lot. There was also an issue with the toilet constantly running and the tank not filling up but I was able to adjust the phlange inside the tank and fixed the problem. The surrounding area was a bit uncomfortable which is not the fault of the hotel. There's the typical homeless issues and the cleanliness of the sidewalks. There was also the street musicians who played long into the night and the windows offered very little soundproofing.

I didn’t like that my room was close to elevator which made noise at night. Parking situation little tricky as none at hotel and need to park at garage and walk. Overall good experience and for the price I paid would definitely visit.

Parking in the area is tough, but overall a great place to stay for a reasonable price. The deluxe room had us facing Powell which made for a more ideal view.
