"We think Thaddeus Stevens himself would have loved this log house. We certainly did during our 3 day stay. Cozy and well decorated. A well equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Close to downtown and just steps away to a local grocery. The owner, Sarah, is truly exceptional! Helped us in so many ways including making sure our kitchen skillet was returned to us after we accidentally left it in a cupboard. Hats off to Sarah, and a great little getaway!"

"We were quite comfortable in the apartment, and the location was perfect— walkable to all of downtown, and 15 minutes from the Hauser Hill event center. And Paul & Lisa’s specially roasted coffee was a great way to start the day!"

"This was our second time staying in this property and it was just as wonderful as we remember. We had two grandmoms with us who really appreciated the spacious one-floor accommodations. Huge kitchen and two light filled living rooms provided lots of room for our group to spread out and enjoy! Hope to be back for a third trip some day!"

"The Cricket House was a great place to stay for our first trip to Gettysburg. The battlefields were close by and many restaurants were within walking distance. We had one small mechanical issue during our stay and it was taken care of quickly. The beds very comfortable and everything was very clean. The host, Brian gave excellent recommendations for restaurants as well."

"We met our daughter and her boyfriend halfway to celebrate her birthday. So happy we were able to rent Belle on Buford! It is close to all the attractions, making it very easy and quick to get wherever we wanted and needed to go. The apartment is lovely - better than I expected. So much attention to detail from the decorations to everything available in the kitchen and bathrooms. We were able to simply relax and enjoy our weekend. "A perfect location in Frederick. The Carroll Creek Canal is right behind the house and is beautifull! Aaron gave us excellent recommendations as to where to visit and eat. The house is older but clean, tidy and comfortable. We did use the kitchen to cook and gave Aaron a few pointers to improve what he had for utensils. Overall, I would come back again. Thanks Aaron"

"This was such a great place for our family to crash. There is a foosball table, ping pong table and my kids LOVED staying in the great room of pull out beds. There are 2 cozy bedrooms and a great fun room. My kids wished we had had more time to be there to explore the property and play. It is so well equipped with everything for large groups. We are a family of 8, and listings often say they accommodate 8, but are actually lacking in linens and dishes. This space had plenty of everything!"

"My company, Mettle Events, Inc. are the timers for the Frederick Running Festival, and we like to stay in rentals vs. hotels. The Cabin was perfect! Clean, off-street parking, walkable location to restaurants & breweries, five minutes to our job site (the fairgrounds) and I loved that everything was labeled! the house rules were clear and easy to understand, and the price was right! We will definitely be returning to The Cabin!"

"On the positive side - this home was very well equipped - we lacked for nothing from laundry detergent to K-cups. It was very clean and the TV and media connectivity was good. I would not recommend this property to anyone who is the least bit challenged mobility-wise. The stairs are slick their configuration can be tricky for some folks. The house is old so there is no flow between the rooms. The house is FULL of antiques - to the point where one was not sure of where they could put their own...

"Had a wonderful stay while in town for a wedding. Quiet area. House is clean, nicely decorated and VERY well appointed. A stocked kitchen, extra toiletries, vanities in each room, robes in each closet, and tons of charging ports! They even had safety pins and a clothes steamer which came in handy for wedding prep. All the beds, linens and towels were high quality. Would definitely recommend!"
