Access to the house via pedestrian zone / promenade approx. 200 m (loading and unloading possible up to approx. 100 m in front of the house, trolley advantageous). Behind the house is a small courtyard with seating and a portable grill. Appealing facility, some with antiques. Partially visible natural stone walls. Tile, wooden floorboards. Satellite TV (German programs). Radio / CD. Internet access (WLAN, inclusive). Air conditioning with cooling / heating function in the living and the sleeping room. parking space in the public car park approx. 300 m (payment). 2 floors with a total of approx. 80 m2\. Access at ground level via one step. On the ground floor there is a living room / bedroom with a double sofa bed (1.60 m wide), fireplace (only decoration), dining area and exit to the promenade, as well as a small kitchen (2 plates, oven, microwave, large fridge with freezer, coffee machine, toaster, kettle ). From the living room via wooden stairs in a separate staircase to the 1st Floor: 1 bedroom with double bed and double sofa bed (1.60 m wide), access to shower / toilet. Pets possible after separate agreement. Distances: Sea: 5m. Umag town center: 20m. Supermarket: 200m. Children's playground 250 m, marina 500 m (slow train), ATP tennis stadium 5 km, city of Porec: 25 km. Pula Airport: 80 km. Access to the house via footpath approx. 200 m. no access to the object possible. Outdoor facilities: (private use): terrace with impressive sea view, furniture available, portable grill. Courtyard property 50 m²: (private use): edged with historic stone walls. Also ideal for holidays with bicycles. These are safely stored in the courtyard, it is completely surrounded by stone walls and can be reached directly from the rear street (pedestrian zone) via a lockable gate. The house is located on the outside of the old town, directly by the sea, along the former city wall. The courtyard offers peace and shade, in front of the house is a picturesque sun terrace with seating and a parasol directly on the beach promenade. The sea is about 5 meters from the house, the bathing bay has been secured with natural stone slabs to a comfortable lying area. With the local slow train you can also easily go to other bathing bays. The thick stone walls keep the building cool, the air conditioning in the living area on the ground floor can be used as a support if desired. In addition to the dining area, there is also a sofa on the ground floor that can be converted into a sleeping space for 2 people. A decorative fireplace complements the ambience. The kitchen is also on the ground floor, accessible from the living area. It is small but complete and functional. A separate wooden staircase leads to the upper floor where the bedroom is located. There is a double bed made according to the historical model and a pull-out sofa, also suitable for 2 people as a comfortable sleeping place. The bedroom has access to the shower and toilet. In the immediate vicinity there are several restaurants with a wide range of Mediterranean dishes. Within a few kilometers you will find both gourmet restaurants (including a focus on the Istrian truffles found there) and renowned wineries at an internationally award-winning level. The local olive oils are top notch. A variety of interesting medieval towns are only a few minutes away by car, such as Motovun or the artist village Groznjan. Along the coast are the cities of Novigrad, Porec, Rovinj or Pula, to name just a few. In the wider area (80 km) is the Adelsberger Grotte (Postojnska jama) in Slovenia. Venice is reached by speedboat once a week, ideal for a day trip. Trieste is also ideal for a day trip. The impressive Brijuni National Park (an archipelago off Istria), which can be visited with special boat tours, is less than an hour's drive away. In the season from May to October there is a multitude of cultural offers in the area of the city of Umag, from classical concerts to techno festivals. A small museum, reachable in 5 minutes on foot, gives an impression of the historical Umag. The sporting offers in the surrounding area include good signposted cycling and hiking trails, diving, sailing, tennis etc. Umag is also known for the annual international ATP tennis tournament. Der Mix aus dem alten Gemäuer und der stilvollen Einrichtung macht den Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem.Ein echtes Highlight war die Dachterrasse. Wir hatten Glück mit dem Wetter und konnten sie richtig genießen. Mit Kaffee am Morgen und einem Glas Wein am Abend, einfach traumhaft!Auch die Umgebung ist wunderbar: Das Pilzfest in Brtonigla war super, und die Wanderung von Grožnjan nach Završje entlang der alten Bahntrasse Parenzana können wir nur empfehlen. Und natürlich darf ein Abstecher nach Motovun nicht fehlen.Alles in allem war es ein ganz besonderer Urlaubsort, den wir absolut weiterempfehlen können. Es ist alles da, was man zum Wohnen braucht. Und zum Erholen eh: Sonnenterrasse, Liegen, Schirme, Stühle, das Meer wirklich direkt vor der Haustür, hervorragende Konabas nebenan, wer will, was zum Shoppen/Bummeln. Und v.a. Ruhe, sehr erholsame Ruhe. Der Kontakt mit Manfred war immer sehr schnell und angenehm. Die Unterlagen mit Anreise- und Check-In-Infos sehr gut. Man sollte sich aber schon überlegen, was man alles mitbringt. Denn das muss man alles tragen. Man ist direkt im Geschehen, aber sobald man im Gebäude, auf der Terrasse oder im Hof ist, bekommt man nichts mehr mit. (Außer abends etwas (Live-)Musik aus den umliegenden Gaststätten, was wir aber sehr genossen haben.) Die Küche ist wie beschrieben sehr klein, wir haben daher hauptsächlich die Outdoor-Küche im Hof genutzt. Das Parken auf dem öffentlichen Parkplatz war auch in der Hauptsaison kein Problem, da wir meistens antizyklisch (vormittags weg, am späten Nachmittag zurück) gefahren sind. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Türmchen ist wirklich schön und hat eine unvergleichliche Lage: Direkt am Meer, in der Fußgängerzone,dennoch ruhig (Ende Mai/Anfang Juni). Erfreulich ist auch, dass in den meisten Häusern der Bucht Einheimische wohnen. Man ist also mittendrin und nicht in einem Touristenghetto. Das Türmchen hat ein sehr schönes, großes Schlafzimmer - mit Meeresblick natürlich, auch das Bad hat ein Fenster. Auf der großen Dachterasse kann man relaxen und den Ausblick genießen, ohne selbst gesehen zu werden. Die Liegstühle sind bequem, es gibt Polster und Sonnenschirme. Dort haben wir uns mit Vorliebe aufgehalten. Der Innenhof ist teils überdacht, es gibt bequeme Outdoormöbel. Guter Platz fürs Frühstück oder wenn es regnet oder wenn man Kernschatten haben möchte. Im Wohnraum haben wir uns kaum aufgehalten - warum auch bei dem guten Wetter :-). Die Küche ist schon ziemlich klein. Es ist aber alles da. Wir haben entgegen unserer sonstigen Gewohnheiten kaum gekocht, haben lieber im direkt angerenzende Restaurant gespeist. War lecker - und die Lage direkt am Meer (Füße im Wasser) war einfach nicht zu toppen. Das Türmchen ist größtenteils mit Antiquitäten möbliert. Als Literaturfreunde waren wir angenehm überrascht - die Auswahl an "Schmökern" hatte durchaus Klasse. Wir danken dem Vermieter für die schöne Woche, die wir im Türmchen verbringen konnten, für die gute Kommunikation und für sein Engagement. ##### Hildegard E. Der Innenhof war unser bevorzugter Aufenthaltsort, man konnte trotz Regen auch abends noch draußen sitzen. Ende September ist Umag schon ein bisschen im Winterschlaf, aber genau das wollten wir. Alles ist gut fußläufig zu erreichen und da wir die Fahrräder mithatten, konnten wir auch die Strände in der Umgebung erkunden. Die gesamte Buchung war unkompliziert und alles hat prima gepasst! Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Die Ferienwohnung ist einmalig und mit viel Liebe restauriert worden. Die Kommunikation mit der freundlichen Ansprechpartnerin vorort hat beim Ein- und Auschecken sehr gut geklappt.
