Ulricehamns Ski Center

We have quite a mixed review for this accommodation. Firstly, the rooms are situated in an industrial area abutted by mechanical repair, car wash and steel fabrication businesses. The entry door leads onto a long flight of stairs to the rooms. It would have been good to receive an email detailing how to get in as well as instructions on how to get here ( by downloading the Vasttrafix app) The place wasn't easy to find. On the plus side, the room was clean and we loved the kitchen facilities ( especially the coffee machine) One last issue we had was that we booked this room in Jan and realised within 48 hours that we had put in the wrong dates. We immediately changed the booking but were charged again. We think this was unreasonable as it was more than 9 months ago and changes were made very quickly. Expedia said they were dealing with the matter but we have heard nothing more from them or the owner. On the whole, the accommodation was satisfactory ( but not for double the price we ended up paying) Just a few things could be done to make things easier and more comfortable for guests.

Hotel was well situated and staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. The main issue was the beds. Super soft and uncomfortable. Asked to move and they moved us into a room with two separate beds that were just as soft. Two sleepless nights!

This is one of the oldest hotels in Gothenburg, but it is very well-maintained and clean. To me, it is a boutique hotel. The staff is friendly and professional and takes pride in going the extra mile for guests. My wife and I were originally intending to stay only one night. But we enjoyed our experience at the hotel so much, we extended our stay for three more nights and would have gladly stayed longer except we had to catch a flight to return home. My wife and I speak English. The staff was very fluent in English. The breakfast is complimentary, and we enjoyed our breakfasts very much. There was a lot of choice, and the breakfast seating was peaceful. Our room was very clean and the fixtures in the bathroom were new in appearance. The rooms have a heater/air conditioner that works exceptionally well. And in the bathroom there is a heated towel rack. Just off from the front desk there is a tea/coffee/hot chocolate counter that also includes little cakes. The drinks and cakes are free. The hotel is a short walk from the central train station. It is easy to catch a tram or a bus to go anywhere in the city or to the airport. In fact, you can check your luggage for your flight at the train station so you don’t have to lug suitcases on the train (called the Arlanda Express). The hotel is also an easy walk from Stockholm Old Town, a must-see part of Stockholm. There is so much good to say about this hotel and not enough space to do it justice.
