Great hotel

"Great communication from the hotel. I had email that the room is small but it wasn’t at all, very spacious bathroom. Great welcome by Elena who was absolutely lovely and friendly. Nice touch to give us the taste of whiskey and sherry. The room was clean as anything and modern. It wasn’t the most spacious room but it was good enough. The view from the room was great too. If I say one negative, it was the breakfast. Good selection of everything. But our table had no butter and jam so we had to get it by ourselves from another table as the staff was busy. We ordered smoked salmon with scrambled egg but I wouldn’t recommend to put hot scrambled egg on top of cold smoked salmon…( im a chef) Overall, we loved our stay and certainly would like to go back when we are in Ullapool again. "

Charming hotel in a quaint town

"We stayed in The Caledonian, a delightful hotel in charming Ullapool. We got a room with a lovely bay window overlooking the town and harbour. The mini-bar was free, which was a very nice touch. Very clean and comfortable. Ullapool has good amenities for the tourist, quaint shops and cafes, a supermarket, a lovely bookshop. Lovely place to stay."

A beautiful place

"We had a wonderful stay here, 20 minutes outside of Ullapool. The house was immaculate and full of light, with a nicely-equipped kitchen and a very comfortable bed. We could walk right out the door and down the road or up the hill for walks with incredible views. Hated to leave!"

Lovely remote location

"Fantastic situation which suited us and our 2 dogs perfectly. You need to be organised with food due to the nearest shop being over 30 miles away but that being said we found some fantastic eateries on our road trips around the area. The negatives are that the ceiling are very low the stairs awkward and narrow and the condition is basic. Take chairs with you so that you can enjoy the sun trap garden. Luckily we had really good weather (last week in Apri)"

Absolutely Perfect

"Everything about our stay from booking to departing could not have been better. Our host Katerina was always on hand to provide information updates and accommodate our needs. The cottage was outstanding in every way, well stocked with all the necessary items and some for a self catering stay. The cleanliness was top notch and the refurbishment which has taken place compliments the property so well. The views and area surrounding the cottage are to die for and put you into that relax mode as soon as you arrive. We cannot fault the cottage, location and surrounding areas at all. If what you are after is time away from the rat race of life and want to lose yourself in remote beauty in delightful accommodation then go no further. We will absolutely be going back. Katerina you are a fantastic host and thank you so much for allowing to experience your cottage and location."
