The breakfast buffet has great choices. No need to bring pajamas, facial care, q-tips, brush/comb, toothbrush/toothpaste, plus the usual soap and shampoo/conditioner. There are a few washer/dryers on-site but there is also a laundromat across the street if none are available (they even have a dedicated washer for shoes!). I didn’t try it but there are separate onsens on-site (female and male). Ueda is not a large city, so everything is fairly walkable. Ueda Castle is a short, albeit uphill walk from the hotel. The rooms color wise were much to be desired (brown), but they were clean and comfortable. I regret not making full use of the public bath that was available on the first floor. However, more important to me was the fact that they had a washer and coin dryer to clean my clothes.
