Ucluelet Wildwood Inn

"This motel was in a state of transition. It seems it had just a experienced a change of ownership and the existing units were being upgraded as well as expanded with a new addition - our unit was adjacent to its construction site. I had not been in Ucluelet for nearly decade and it was obviously growing and to some extent prospering. The Wildwood Inn will be a welcome accommodation addition when completed in the mid range price for motel rooms in town. It is conveniently located in mid town and handy to all the attractions of the town. It is clean, comfortable and offers basic necessities for a short stay for its price."

"The location of this hotel is spectacular with ocean views second to none. The rooms were also excellent - spacious, clean and very well equipped. The eating facilities in the hotel need to be improved. Getting a dinner reservation at a sensible time required some forward planning due to the limited capacity of the dinning room. The table service was good but the food offering could be better to match the standard of the hotel. I didn't think it was good value for money but eating options outside in Ucluelet are limited. I was disappointed that the pool (very small) was out of action but the hot tub was available. Book all spa treatments in advance of arriving as none were available when I arrived."

"The location is very nice, the receptionist was helpful and polite. The balcony offers great view of ocean. Facility is not seniors friendly by design. Far too many stairs and gravel pathways. There is no assistance - or at least none offered - with luggage."
