Staying in this place was a highlight of my Bali visit! The family that runs this place is sooo kind! You will like in home, however, the rooms are gorgeous, nothing to envy to a high end hotel. I truly enjoy my stay here and highlight recommend to anyone that is visiting Ubud!

Not as advertised. The deluxe rooms were very overpriced. This is really more like a hostel and the “deluxe” rooms were down a very steep and wet set of stairs covered in moss. This is not appropriate for anyone with the slightest mobility issue. The air conditioning did not work. The deluxe rooms were very musty due to the location being at the bottom of a ravine and the a/c not working. The rooms were very old.

beautiful traditional environment and rooms, great price and the food delicious and inexpensive. Friendly staff, can organise everything you need. Easy walk to main road and palace and market and rice terrace walk. Loads of eateries and facilities close buy. When you are at the pool and in the gardens you wouldn't know the hustle and bustle of ubud was only minutes away. Comfy beds and reasonable aircon to ensure you have a good nights sleep. Will come again for sure. Deluxe room no.13 had a fridge and huge balcony overlooking the river and ravine. You need to be able to walk steps if you have this room, but many standard rooms closer to reception have not many steps

The hotel room itself is fashioned in the traditional Balinese sense with 4 poster bed and mosquito nets. There is no tv but the room would look silly if it had one. The door locks with a chain and padlock and there is a table and chairs out on a private balcony. The grounds are quiet tranquil serene and beautifully manufactured. This is by no means a typical hotel stay. Ketuts fits right in with the Ubud architecture. It was a different experience but highly enjoyable.

Ketut's is conveniently located within a short walk to Town Centre but is a quiet peaceful oasis. It is the ideal place to relax and recharge as there is a pool, spa center where massages are amazing, and breakfast delivered daily to your room (if you want). The licenced cafe has a great menu and delicious meals if you don't feel like going out for a meal, so that was an unexpected bonus. I am a solo female traveler and felt welcomed, safe and at home from the first minute to the last minute there as the staff are all friendly, professional and welcoming but just as many families and couples there as well as there are different size villas available. As it is villa style accommodation and generously spaced out, there is privacy and space and quiet for every guest, so I appreciated I chose it for that as well that reason as well. Could not recommend it highly enough.

This is a beautiful property run by a family. Very pleasant and easy to deal with. Spa services were not great. We stayed in the deluxe rooms and they were amazing looking out onto the jungle and a river below. The pictures don’t do this place justice. Very central in Ubud to see the sites.

Fully enjoyed my stay at this family run place. Ground floor temple/bridge/decor was always nice to walk through, food was the perfect home made meals, front desk was helpful, close to centre and the bed was comfortable. Only con was that the bathroom was very outdated and you can hear roosters from the early morning. Not good for light sleepers. All in all very good for the price for stay.

Ketut's Place is a beautiful lovely family oriented stay that makes you feel at home. Everyone there is very friendly, helpful and warmth. Lush and greenery surrounding the place makes us feels like living close to nature. Breakfast was delicious with many different choices to choose from. Accommodation price is also very reasonable and low, it is highly recommended for a stay when in Ubud.

Smiles everywhere, wonderful garden environment with super friendly staff. Every room is like your own mini villa’ privacy within a authentic setting. Just off the town centers main streets it’s a very short walk to everything. I really enjoyed my stay.

i love Ketut!
wow!! just homey family environment. such helpful staff at reception. excellent food included in the breakfast. gorgeous pool. rooms were clean and we were just fine with a fan, but ac is an option. nice strong hot shower. just can’t say enough good things about the vibe here. everyone was so friendly and kind. walking distance to everything you could imagine! 26 mins to monkey forest with loads of shops and restaurants in between. i recommend the fire dance as well was so cool! just ask at the desk. i will be back to ketut!

Great hotel
What a stunning, cultural hotel this is in the most perfect location! It is just a 10 minute walk to the main strip in a Ubud where you’ll find many shops and restraunts. Our stay was great, the room, the location, the breakfast and the staff! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We ate at the hotel one evening which was lovely, the food was very nice and the owner of the hotel explained the history and tradition of it. I would recommend this hotel if you want a reasonable price, a taste of Ubud culture and relaxed stay in a great location!

Great value, great family operated establishment.
Ketut's Place was great value. Ketut's family was very polite, gracious and accommodating with our question's about anything. We wanted to buy local Bali coffee grounds and they even offered to buy it for me from the market as the market only operates until 8 am. The in site spa space was convenient for me as I was traveling with my daughter. It's more expensive to have a massage here but the convenience is worth it. The place is intimate, quiet yet close to the main Street junction in Ubud. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the compound includes the family Temple.

Quirky and quiet. We had a top floor room overlooking the jungle and swimming pool. Windows were open so that when it rained (and boy did it rain) the rain was blown in through the windows. It made for a memorable, slightly wet night's sleep - like top floor camping.

Family owned and operated with every family member on duty! Kind on nice! Good help from desk on the city. Walk every where. Kecak Fire and Trance Dance is only 500 metres walk - Great show. Nice small pool on property. Nice food too! Nice big breakfast brought to your private patio. Large bedroom room. View of jungle from your room. Hotel in the ravine, cliff side - lots of stairs. Very private! Great massage. Yoga near by. Bathroom needs upgrade. Room is swept but not sanitised. Moth ball smell. Nice poster bed with fabric - romantic.

Located in a traditional Balinese family compound. Lots of character. Very friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to the centre of Ubud; and plenty of eateries nearby. The lower "Riverview" rooms are a bit dark, dingy and damp.

The property was amazing. this is a family run property. we were greeted by family member's personally. Nice breakfast served pool side at time requested. The spa facilities and staff were excellent and very reasonable. Not being use to the heat I would recommend a small charge upgrade to an air condition room. They arranged our next stop to GillyT with pick up at property. Thank You for such a pleasant stay

Great stay at Ketut’s Place
This is a beautiful and serene homestay! I paid 400,000IDR ($28.50USD) to be picked up at the Denpasar airport and brought to Ketut’s Place. The moment you step foot on the grounds you feel as though you are in your own private oasis. Everyone who worked there was incredibly nice. The room itself was small (perfect for one person) but there was more than enough space to put your belongings. The bed had a memory foam mattress - amazing! For a westerner, the room and the bathroom wasn’t the cleanest, but perfectly fine. The aircon was great, the WiFi was hit or miss. The pool was beautiful as were the surroundings. As a solo traveler who doesn’t ride a bike, I got into town by motorcycle that the homestay arranged (20,000 IDR $1.50 USD) or I walked. Returning at night (after 11pm) I didn’t feel entirely safe, but that’s only because of all of the stray dogs. All in all, this was a lovely stay and I would recommend it!

Comfortable hotel, great staff, very reasonable price. We had a great stay. Such a beautiful view of the gorge from our room. The only negative is that it's about a 15 minute walk to the palace and other tourist areas, but inside the hotel, everything is quiet and pleasant. Excellent value for the reasonable price.

The hotel is nice. If you wanna book a shuttle bus, the hotel person will call and reserve for you. Staff are very friendly. However, location is not too good. Need to walk for a short while to the center. (The road condition is pretty bad. Traffic is an issue, especially in the evening. Not much road lights and cars and motorbikes are very fast.) Wifi was free but not too stable.
