Dune Top | Only 200 Yards To The Beach

Dune Top is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, a two-level apartment which encompasses the entire second and third floors of the Dune Villa building. Guests will love the location of this vacation home, as you will be only 200 yards from the beach and walking distance to restaurants, shopping, Memorial Park, playground, and the public library.

Enter the home on the second floor, where you are met with a large open living area, dining area, and kitchen which offers a great space for spending time with family or friends. The living area has ample lounge seating including two sleeper sofas and a large flat-screen TV. The dining area has table seating for 8 and an additional 2 stools at the kitchen island. The kitchen is newly renovated and is fully equipped including a stove, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator.

There are two guest bedrooms located on the main level which are both furnished with King-size beds and each has a Flat-screen TV. There is also a full bathroom on this floor with a walk-in shower. There is a laundry room with a washer/dryer for guest use. The top floor is the third bedroom which is furnished with two Queen beds, a flat-screen TV, an attached private bathroom with tub/shower combo, and an extra table seating area with seating for 4. This room has access to a private balcony with views of the ocean over the rooftops.

Additional amenities include Wi-Fi, central heat/air ( the main floor only, the top floor offers its own AC/heat unit for added guest comfort). The entrance to this apartment is up to the left stairs at the front of the house. Parking for 3 cars.

Pros: cute, convenient, great communication, had everything we needed, walking distance to the beach. Cons: multiple burnt out lightbulbs, supposed to be some under the sink but there wasn’t, broken spindles on the decks, not good with a 1 year old, refrigerator leaked, ants, dead rodent in closet at the top of the stairs, missing bathroom handle, kids would get locked in, needed to dry towels at least twice before they were dry, blood on pillow, was supposed to come fix everything, only thing fixed was a new pillow. Noise ordinance but barking dogs behind us. Loved Tybee Island, doubt we’d stay at this property again though.

June 2020 Stay

Dune Top was our rental for this week. The regular beds are comfortable, but the pull out beds are quite worn. I think the guests before us had a pet there because there were a few fleas. The water pressure in the showers is not good so it was difficult to get soap out of our hair. It rained very hard on our last day and the roof leaks badly. The washing machine was extremely loud and it’s right outside two of the bedrooms. Wifi was in and out. The location was great and the air conditioning worked well.

Misleading

This property post was misleading, the pictures did not prove accurate. There were patched over holes unpainted on the walls, the upstairs toilet seat was broken, there were many broken blinds, there were dead bugs on the window seals and a punched whole in the back of one of the doors . I will give credit the down stairs bathroom was newly renovated and the floors looked pretty new too. The common area and kitchen were open and the appliances were in good condition and clean as well. There were plenty of towels as well and distance from beach was convenient. We maybe consider a second time if they upped cleaning and uploaded more up to date pictures.

Family spring break

The home was nice, the blinds in the front bedroom are a bit small for the windows so be mindful of having the lights on at night during your stay. Other than that it was nice.

Family is the best!

We have taken our family of 9 to Helen, GA and our daughter wanted the beach this time and chose Tybee. When we found this house, it was the perfect size and within our budget! Loved how close it is to the beach and everything else we needed while we were there. Great time and great property! Only recommendation would to be to put something on the bottom of the kitchen chairs so they wouldn’t make so much noise ☺️

We LOVED Dune Top!! It was a beautiful home!! The Open plan layout was great for our big family!! We got to check in 5 hours early, the staff was always helpful with great customer service!!! We will be using y'all for our future trips!!
