This unit has a side view of the beach, queen bed in bedroom, queen sofa sleeper in living room, and small bunks built into wall (perfect for children). The Savannah Beach & Racquet Club is a gated bay front complex located on the quiet North end of Tybee Island. The Bay is where the Savannah River meets the Atlantic Ocean. There is a wonderful beach area just steps from the condo. This area of the beach is known to be very family friendly as it is less crowded. The location is great for dolphin watching, watching large ship containers travel into savannah port. If you enjoy walking along the beach, you can walk all the way to the South end of the Island, without leaving the sand. The Beach & Racquet Club is a great alternative to staying at a hotel room on the island. Enjoy more space and amenities like fully equipped kitchens, living room with cable TV, private balconies, tennis courts, and pool. All of the one-bedroom condos share use of a 14'x20' pool and 10"x10' kiddie pool. A & B building condos have coin-operate laundry on each floor along. There is parking for 1 vehicle only, NO GOLF CARTS, TRAILERS, BOATS, JET SKI'S or OVERSIZE VEHICLES ALLOWED. Stays longer then 30 days, October - March, there is additional cleaning fee. It is obvious that the owners don’t take pride in the property and possibly don’t visit often. Limited kitchen items (baking sheet, plates, etc) are available and be sure to wash anything before using as they are dirty in the cabinets. This is probably because they do not provide any dish soap but it is required to wash the dishes before leaving. One trash bag for an entire stay is wild but we made it work. Ice maker does not work. Sliding door on the balcony is on its last leg and covered in rust. The outlet on right side of the bed doesn’t work. The bedroom light doesn’t work so you have to use bedside lamp. There are no blankets to use on the bunk beds or pull out couch so make sure to bring your own or you will have to go to Walmart and buy some like we did. Also the check in and check out process is very out dated as you have to go to an office to get a key and return it. We haven’t done that in 10 years. The complex and location was great but we would not stay in this unit again. ##### Tori P. We got to the condo and there was hair in the shower that obviously wasn’t ours. Dishes still had food residue, only half a roll of toilet paper (which we found out later was a “starter supply” we ran out and there were no other rolls. I messaged the property manager and they said we needed to supply our own. Never in our years of staying at this complex (using other vacation rental companies) have we ever had to supply our own trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, sponges or dish soap. This was beyond unbelievable. After spending so much money AND staying with them for over a week all they could supply was half a roll of toilet paper and one trash bag. What a joke. Also thought it was very tacky for the cleaning lady to leave a tip envelope after leaving the dishes dirty and hair in the shower. That wasn’t all. The tv was slow, the outlets sparked and some didn’t work. The light in the bedroom flickered. There was no tv in the bedroom (in other condos we’ve rented there was at least a small one) toilet was stopped up when we arrived and the plunger was broken when we went to use it.We’ve been staying at SBRC since 2022 and never had a bad experience until staying in this condo with this rental company. However, this specific room is not up to par with the rooms we have stayed in previously. Specifically, the furnishings could use some updating - the couch is worn and stained, the mattress on the bed was worn out as well (you could feel all the springs). We had to hang a blanket over the window looking into the hall because it was brighter in the bedroom at night than during the day thanks to the lights in the hall - blackout curtains would be nice. While the room lacked in updated furnishings, it is still recommendable for the given price. We very much enjoyed our week at the beach! ##### Lauren J. Stayed 7 nights in Jul 2019 ### 4/10 Poor #### Angela P. 22 Sept 2023 Liked: Location, listing accuracy Disliked: Check-in #### No Blankets for 2 Beds First off the address for the after hours key pick up on the website is wrong. So spent some time trying to find it. Then get to the place to find the bedroom was the only bed that had sheets and blankets. There were 4 of us so the pull out couch and bunk bed had only a sheet. We were left 1 garbage bag, and about 1/3 roll of toilet paper. We then had to go get our own bedding from the rental property. I didn’t like the message on VRBO to communicate, our toilet went bad and the last thing I wanted to do was be checking the website to see if someone responded to my message about it. Luckily I knew how to fix it to keep it flushing to get us through 2 days. Location wasn’t too bad but wouldn’t stay here again. ##### Angela P. There were 2 cheap plastic chairs on the porch that are cracked and usable. There was very few dishes, pots and pans, and other things to cook with. The refrigerator door had no railings, so we couldn't store anything in the door (we did most of our cooking in the condo). The floors were dirty when we got there (take a shower, walk to the back door, and your feet were black). The biggest burner on the stove was unusable because the burner pan is too small, and it tilts at an angle that makes it unusable. And, seriously, who watches VCR tapes anymore? ##### William M.
