Good Value

Posted 25-Aug-2015
Pros: This hotel has terrific beds, very comfortable.
Cons: The bathrooms are quite small. There is barely room to close the door.
I stayed at this hotel once before while traveling alone. I was traveling with my daughter for this trip & felt this would be a comfortable and safe location. We had no trouble finding parking, checking in or getting into our room. Everything was clean and as it should be.

nice pool

Posted 19-Aug-2015
Pros: the pool was nice and the beds were comfortable
Cons: a friendlier staff would have been much nicer. We were attending a close family members funeral so some smiling faces would have really helped.
Location: nice restaurants and shopping areas were close.
light above sink did not work. exhaust fan above toilet FILTHY. I had to wait for the people at service desk to get done with their conversation before I could check in. I have stayed at other motels and have always been greeted whenever entering motel. The person at the desk barely even looked up when I entered, and did not say hello. Same thing when going to breakfast. The girl working did not say Good Morning.

Pictures are misleading

Posted 10-Aug-2015
Pros: The bar.
Cons: It badly needs updating.
Location: It's Tulsa. There's not that much to do where ever you stay.
This is an older hotel. If you are used to more modern accomodations, than this place isn't for you. The AC's are not controlled by a thermostat, but rather by the unit. I was lucky and got a good working AC when it was over 100 for four straight days. The staff is friendly. The restaurant is not in the hotel, but next door and is ok if you l like country food. The bar is on the second floor and was fun, with very friendly bartenders and welcoming regulars. Both the restaurant and the bar are run by third parties and simply lease space. The gym did have fairly up to date equipment. But, the rest of the hotel just seems old and run down some. It's not bad. It's just not luxury. So, depending on what you're looking for, the Clarion could be perfectly functional for you.

A great experience for the price

Posted 05-Aug-2015
Pros: The breakfast was awesome. Everything else was good.
Cons: Pool photo on Expedia is misleading, bathrooms are a bit on the small side.
Location: Tulsa is a lively city with a lot to do. There's an Art Deco district and a bunch of cultural activities hosted by the various universities in town.
The Clarion Hotel is really the face of an Econolodge, but it is by far the best Econolodge-level stay I've ever had. The staff was great and the hotel had a nice open lobby. The pool was nice, although in the site the photo makes it seems like an indoor pool when it's actually outdoor. The gym room was nice and the pub had a good atmosphere (not as in upscale, but as in it felt like an actual pub you might find in town). The rooms were spacious, although the bathroom was rather small. The breakfast (free) was great. It had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, bagels, two or three different types of biscuits, oatmeal, waffles, and the usual cold stuff (fruits and cereal). In Tulsa, I have stayed at three different budget hotels - the Knight's Inn (avoid at all cost), the Wyndham (it's ok), and now the Clarion. I can confidently say that the Clarion is by far the best one.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We are a dual brand property with the Econo Lodge being the budget hotel and the Clarion is considered a mid-scale. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Thank you for your comments.

Quick night sleep

Was only at hotel for 6 hours. Arrived late, left early. Hotel is in definite need of improvements. Small trim pieces missing. Beds in room were comfortable five years ago. Great access to ba expressway.

good place to stay

Posted 10-May-2015
Pros: Comfortable, clean and next door to restaurant ( a good one, too).
Cons: Nothing, really.
Location: do not know about area. Family met us and we visited in room.
We were in Broken Arrow to meet family, and the Clarion was closest to their home. they came to hotel for a visit, and dinner at the restaurant next door. The room was nice, staff friendly, and all in all very pleasant.
