Great Amenities, Staff, and Price

Posted 28-Nov-2016
Pros: Friendly staff Clean Rooms Great Pricing Convenient location Functioning Business Center
Cons: Even though I had to "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door - the cleaning staff still knocked on my door at 8:30 am to see if I needed any services. Bummer
Location: It's close to Tulsa, and right off the freeway. Although I did not have time for tourist activities i do know there were several bars and tattoo shops
This was one of the best hotel experiences I have had in a while. Tyler and Sam - the front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I booked online and had absolutely no issues at check-in, etc. Our room was very clean and updated in modern decor. The beds were extremely comfortable and had lots of pillows. I was very impressed with the amount of cups and coffee offered right in the room! There was also a fridge and microwave. In addition the daily breakfast served was prompt and plentiful in hot and cold options. When it was running low the staff was quick to respond with absolutely no attitude. Since I was there to handle business affairs for a family member - it was very refreshing that the business center was fully functioning and ready to use at any moment. There was also a gym that had all equipment necessary for a good workout. It even had towels,a water fountain, TV, and a restroom right in the workout room. To top it all off, the 2nd floor has a bar - which is very convenient, especially if you are from out of town and unfamiliar with the area. It also provides for a safe trip back to your room! **This hotel was so good, I even had my sister switch hotels from across the street at Quality Inn, where she was getting very substandard service, and was only saving five dollars a night per room! When we checked her in - they even gave her the same rate I had received even though I booked online at a discounted rate! Talk about great customer service!

It was fine. I don't think it was 3.9/5 but I do think it was 3/5. The bed was comfortable.

Not Okay

Posted 21-Nov-2016
Pros: Tyler at the front desk was very understanding and provided excellent customer service.
Cons: Hotel needs a remodel desperately.
In other cities, the price this room was rented for will get you a pretty decent hotel room, so I was not worried. When I walked into the lobby I should have been alerted by the overpowering musty smell being disguised with intense cleaning liquid. Reluctantly, I went ahead and checked in (Tyler at the front desk was a positive during this experience...he was very friendly), retrieved my things and ventured to my room. I turned on the light and stopped dead in my tracks three steps into the room. The smell continued throughout the room, the walls were dirty, the carpet was stained and all of the finishes are beyond needing a remodel. I was afraid to touch anything. I am an accommodating person and NEVER complain, cancel rooms or even send back food at a restaurant - but I did not feel clean or safe, so I marched back up to the front desk and asked for a refund. Tyler was very understanding and apologetic. He took care of my request immediately and I went on to find another hotel room. This could potentially be a nice hotel in the future - after a remodel - but until that happens I do not recommend staying here.

Place needs to be renovated and cleaned. Room was clean and comfortable but passage and elevators smelt bad like stale smoke.

My favorite hotel!

Posted 20-Nov-2016
Pros: Ive been staying there for years, never a problem, always clean, usually quiet!
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Location: Racetrac gas station next door,,,,Steak restaraunt just down Aspen on the left, (forget name but GREAT).
Whenever Im in town for the Tulsa Gun Show I stay at this hotel, its always a relaxing no hassle experience. Rooms always clean, staff is on the ball, and the breakfasts are great. Plus they have a bar, and next door is Shilohs restaurant with outstanding food. And the restaurant delivers to the hotel! Perfect!

THE HOTEL IS OLD AND SMOKING IS ALLOWED.

Posted 04-Oct-2016
Location: THE LOCATION WAS OKAY AND A RESTAURANT NEXT DOOR.
BEING THAT THE HOTEL IS OLD, THE ROOM WAS HARD TO CONTROL THE TEMPERATURE. THEY HAD NON-SMOKING ROOMS BUT THEY STILL SMELLED. THE PRICE WAS OKAY AND THE BEDS WERE COMFORTABLE.

Excellent hotel and service

Posted 17-Sep-2016
On a cross country drive and so staying in several hotels. This was the 4th hotel and by far the best of the (now 5) I've stayed in so far. The lobby was clean and well appointed. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and spacious. They have a flat pet fee, no matter if you have one pet or two with you (which I appreciate). They have a well maintained pet potty area in the back with green grass and several vertical surfaces for the pups to mark. I accidentally left a memorial necklace for a past pet. Meaningless and worthless to others, but priceless to me. I realized I'd forgotten it about 40 minutes after I left. I called immediately and the very nice front desk person (Samuel) had the cleaning staff search. He called me back about 30 minutes later to tell me he had the necklace and confirmed that it was the correct item. He then agreed to put it in the mail to my home address, charging the shipping to the card I'd used at the hotel. Within 2 hours I had received an email from the USPS with the shipping cost and tracking number so I can keep track of when my necklace will arrive. I am grateful to Samuel for helping me retrieve this irreplaceable memento. Overall, this was a lovely hotel experience and I will be seeking out Clarion hotels in the future when I travel.
