I'm not sure if I was trolled by this property. I had asked for a "quieter" room on the top floor in my booking request and was told pretty quickly that it was "approved". Unfortunately, when I arrived (within 30 minutes of the opening of check-in time) I was given a room on the middle floor, directly across from the elevator and stairs for the entire property. As expected, it was loud, from above and both sides and from people coming to and from the stairs (like, had to turn up the TV to hear it over the noise kind of loud). I am unsure if all the rooms are this loud because I can only review what I was given. The rugs were taped down on the edges with masking tape, and were pretty dirty - it was a shoes-on kind of place, but otherwise it was clean and adequately sized with dated/damaged decor. The walls are thin, there was a family with small childern next to me at one point, and the housekeeping routine noise in the AM does not allow for any kind of "sleeping in" in the morning. Reception never actually had anyone present at any point when I came or went from the property. The property itself is well-located if you're needing something near UCD as I was. There are few options this close to UCD, but I'm not sure I would stay here again given my personal experience. I'd say good value for money if you're not as annoyed with the same kind of issues I encountered.

"We checked in and discovered our room didn’t have a bath, we were swapped to a room with one immediately, not a problem to the staff. The room was clean, spacious and the bathroom was also spotless. "The staff and the food are the big selling points for this hotel. Staff have always been very helpful and the food is always good. It is a convenient hotel with free parking and EV chargers on site. The rooms are quite dated and old, definitely in need of an upgrade."
