"It was my wife’s birthday and I wanted it to be different. This place is was a large ranch at one time. Today, it’s restored to its glory days. The room was very comfortable. It had a pool, lounge and breakfast was made to order. The location offered us walking paths and a river to go to. It was close to to Tubac and we ended our stay by traveling to a Titan 2 missile silo (no longer active)."

"Lodge on the Desert is quite a gem. We loved the private nature of this accommodation, a small oasis inside an otherwise very bustling city. The on-site dining was incredible. Ben helped us choose cocktails and tamales for dinner- so good! Our suite was 100% Arizona which was a great way to launch our weeklong journey across the state! Packed with history and modern charm we would highly recommend this location. Only feedback would be that the shower was poorly lit and didn't have great water pressure or ability to adjust the head for taller travelers. "
