My husband and I loved sitting on the screened porch with the fireplace on, reading our books at night and in the early morning. The cottage is close to the entrance so while it’s not always the quietest location, it’s very convenient to get in/out of the resort. BLR is an unforgettable experience and we loved our stay here. We took advantage of the spotty wi-fi and unplugged- we didn’t mind. This was much needed! Lots of amenities to use and the house was great for relaxing. We loved using the screened in porch. I would recommend bringing basic cleaning supplies if you plan on cooking as we were unable to find any provided in the home. You will check in at the greeters cottage- they are super helpful! The cabin is extremely close to the front gate, making access to the “outside world” much easier than for friends who stayed a few miles deeper into the resort! The location was great, and all of the amenities listed were provided. There were a couple of small imperfections, but that’s to be expected and did not detract from our visit. The only oddity was the check-in process, which involved several minutes in the greeters cottage and a preservation fee I had read elsewhere could be assessed. Nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves and would stay here again.
