About this property
Pengerein - a holiday home that sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms
Pengerein is a semi-detached, 2-bedroom home with stunning sea views and direct access onto the South West coast path from the bottom of the garden. You could while away many an hour sitting on the patio and gazing out to sea with commercial marine traffic moving across the horizon, yachts and fishing boats working closer inshore, and paddle boarders and swimmers along the shoreline. This is the perfect spot for a family holiday or as a couples getaway. The ground floor is largely open plan with a kitchen diner and separate lounge and there are 2 bedrooms, both of which are en suite.
The house is located in Portscatho, equidistant from the stunning Porthcurnick Beach and the village square, with an abundance of amenities on the doorstep. You could abandon the car here for the duration and enjoy all that this area has to offer, all within short walking distances - from beaches, the harbour, coastal walks, local pubs, shops and restaurants. The beautiful village of Portscatho has something to offer to everyone. There are a plethora of fantastic coastal walks on the Roseland with dramatic promontories, secluded coves, crashing waves and golden beaches. The local shop and The Plume of Feathers are on the village square 200m away. The shop is superbly stocked with a huge range of local and fresh produce, an instore bakery, and a wide range of beer and wine.

Brilliant place to stay
Very well equipped and wonderfully located accommodation. We really enjoyed our 3 nights here, and would definitely return. Close to the beach, close to town, and very comfortable for a family of four.

Our 3rd visit to Pengerein
We found Pengerein in 2024 and this was our third visit. The sea views are second to none and the immediate access to the Coast Path, with an easy walk to Portscatho in one direction and The Hidden Hut and Porthcurnick in the other, mean it is perfectly positioned.
The house works brilliantly for us with 2 en suite bedrooms, one with a shower and one with a bath and everything is well organised and easy to manage. Downstairs there is lots of space and the sitting room has comfortable sofas and an amazing sea view.
There's a designated parking space which is great, though often the car isn't moved for days as everywhere is within easy walking distance.
Fal Cottages are very efficient and friendly and if we have ever have to contact them, they respond really quickly..
We very much hope to be back in Pengerein in 2027 to enjoy another wonderful stay in that lovely location.

Excellent stay, sadly price rise too much to rebook
Thank you for another brilliant stay at Pengerein. We've enjoyed 4 years coming to the property but have sadly decided that we can't justify the 18% price increase listed in 2027 for one week in August so have booked elsewhere in the village.
(Also couldn't make the hoover work)
