The pool was dirty and never reached the upper water level. The pool was dirty and we did not want to use it. We booked this place with the amenity of a working pool and the pool was not working. This was upsetting as we expected to use a pool as it was listed as an amenity. This property is a rental property with not any personal touches and place was dirty and dusty. The home only had a cursery quick cleaning, but needed a deeper clean. I would not recommmend this place.I would ask that the pool be removed from the listing.Most importantly, the place was quite dusty, all blinds were dusty, dust on all surfaces, closets dusty needed to be wiped out, sofa was smelly like a dog slept on it, and not enough laundry soap. We had to purchase laundry soap. There were previous reviews that stated the pool was not working and the place was dusty, these previous reviews were absolutely accurate. I mentioned the previous reviews to the listing management at booking time and specifically requested a thorough cleaning and the pool be in working order. This was not the case, and disappointing for our stay, and we felt we overpaid." The only thing which I don't like is the access code, which was given wrong, so we waited and get the right code to be given to us. That was one of the highlights of our trip to Hobart! Other renters should be aware that the steep driveway and sharp turn at the top are not for the faint of heart. For us, seeing the wildlife was worth the difficult driveway.Our family of 5 adults had plenty of space to spread out, the property had a nice view, and the kitchen was well stocked.There is a creaky, metal spiral staircase going down to one of the bedrooms, which would not be appropriate for elderly or those with mobility issues, but for my 30 year old, it worked well." Lovely views across the river to enjoy our morning coffee. Really nice area and was very quiet so peaceful nights sleep. Could see bridge area from out front of the building so was great to watch the New Year fireworks from a quiet street as near end of cul-de-sac so no traffic. Had to park in street but that was not an issue as always found a park in residential street out front. Had everything we needed for a great stay, only thing missing for us would be a little coffee machine but got around this by taking our little Wacaco travel espresso maker so all good and they did supply instant coffee and tea bags aling with some other items which was nice. Would highly recommend this lovely little unit as close to everything in Hobart and surrounds if have a car but if not there is a bus down the hill that runs to town regularly plus some great walking to and around Sandy Bay Area if up to it. You do have to walk down two lots of outside stairs past main house to get to unit down back but we were ok with it and we are elderly just had to be extra careful after some rain. Communication was excellent as far as directions to property and obtaining key in lock box with code and welcome message plus information package inside and a lovely little welcome gift which was much appreciated. Thank you to all for a lovely stay we would definitely stay at View Studio Apartment Sandy Bay again if it was available.
