We sat in the hot tub and looked out over the lake it was very relaxing. We watched the sun come up and the birds awaken while laying in bed looking out over the lake. We had a nice time staying at the house. I grew up in Truckee but have never lived at Donner Lake. It was nice to bring my husband and kids here and enjoy being so close. The house was plenty big enough for us and our 8 and 10 year old. My family same to visit and all the cousins had fun with the game room downstairs. The house is kind of right in the middle of China Cove and West End Beach. ##### Rosie P. Overall great experience but a few smaller issues. First, steep driveway that was very icy with the weather and I definitely needed to shovel/scrape it even with a AWD SUV on all-weather tires. Second floor power was out, (not sure if this wasn't checked beforehand?) but management was helpful in helping me find the circuit breaker to reset things. Ice making wasn't working. Dishwasher a little finicky getting started. But no significant major issues and the kids liked it. Again, overall great homebase on Donner Lake, easy access to Sugar Bowl and local trails/snowshoeing. ##### Nicholas L.
