Property was in great condition. All the amenities were wonderful. The location was amazing. We had some initial problems with some of the appliances, but the property management team was incredibly responsive and took care of them immediately. full marks!
Great cabin with even better location! The space was comfortable and perfect for a winter escape. Some small issues with amenities to be aware of (hot tub warning light, fire pit was winterized, no coffee grinder), but nothing major, and Crystal was very communicative throughout. Short drive to both the lifts and Truckee. Highly recommend!
We had a great summer visit with our family of 4. House has a big cabin feel and is very functional. We loved the various decks and outside seating, as well as the direct access to the lake across the street. The road noise can be a bit loud, just a fact of any house along that stretch of the lake. We enjoyed our trip and would return.
This house was the perfect spot for our little family to stay. Right across from the lake, so much outdoor space, super relaxing, close enough to town, but far enough to just relax. Had a little issue with the water heater our first night, but the rental company was on it first thing the next morning! They were easy to work with, and 100% will be back next year!!!
We had a great stay! The location is perfect. There are 5 bedrooms which. Was great and the living space is not huge but big enough! The bathrooms are small but the showers are great!
This is our second time staying here for a birthday weekend. We love the location and the house. We had a little hiccup with the garage not wanting my car to leave but that was handled very professionally and will not keep us from visiting again.

Fun place to stay for a group of friends
Our group of seven lifelong friends thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very roomy cabin on Donner Lake. Although the kitchen has updated appliances, much of the cabin is rather tired: carpets, shower stalls. Regardless, we all felt very much at home and had a great weekend.
My family stayed at this cabin over Labor Day weekend. It fit 8 adults comfortably. The location was perfect, with public piers right across the street. It was also a short drive to Old Truckee. The beds were very comfortable and all the furniture was cozy. The only downside was the size of the shower stalls, which were a tight fit for all. Overall, however, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this cabin to anyone.
Was so nice to walk across the street and be right on the lake. The house was very cozy and fit 8 adults perfectly. Sitting out by the firepit was a great way to spend an evening. You do get your exercise walking up all those stairs though. Be prepared. Overall, we will definitely be staying here again!
We really appreciate the property management staff, who were very responsive whenever we called with an issue, which was 3 times, 3 days in a row. The biggest issue we had was the floor heater and it’s metal grate. My 21 mo old stepped on it and burned his foot. There’s nothing that blocked it off and the grate was very hot. There was a sign that cautioned heat, but it was not sufficient. I called staff and they were very responsive and brought over a new puppy gate to place over the grate and serve as a barrier to block people from stepping on it. This should have been there in the first place. Accidents can easily happen and even adults have stepped on it. The stairs are steep so we had to be extremely careful going up and down the stairs. IStairs are right next to the floor heater so that was also a risk.House was clean and prepared well. Bathrooms are extremely small though. I wouldn’t recommend this house if you have young kids (toddlers until age 6) because of the 3 sets of exterior stairs to get into the house, as well as the steep indoor stairs that don’t have a protective barrier/railing for support.
The best part of the cabin was the gorgeous view. We sat on the deck and had coffee and enjoyed the lake and mountains around us. The little dock directly across the street was nice too. The firepit was great, too. We used the BBQ and that worked well. Kitchen was stocked with what we needed to cook full meals. Couches and beds were all very comfy. Only con was the downstairs shower stall leaked all over the floor and we had to use our $10 towels to soak up the water. Faucet also was spraying outward anytime you washed your hands. All in all a great stay!
Great communication, LOTS of stairs, amazing location, good heat and TV, usable kitchen, washer/dryer, NO LINENS/towels. You have to bring own linens/sheets towels, etc. we LOVED the cabin. Everything is as presented (drawbacks are minor - lighting in kitchen and no heat in bathroom. Very little shared space. It’s is a 5 “bedroom” 2 bath with one bed queen or full in every room. Although it says sleeps 8, the small kitchen only seats 4. I would Stay again

Ski trip stay
Overall really solid. 5 bedrooms, 3 queens and 2 double beds. Did a ski trip.
The only hurdles...Stairs are treacherous in snow and there are many so mitigate by shoveling. Property management was good but not ideal to have to go to the office and get keys and what not (5min drive). Also they charge for linens (bath towels) which is kinda odd... Just include in rental!
Otherwise, great view, great cozy spot, nice fireplace, pretty clean and we had a great time. Would recommend to small family.
Enjoyed this place with two other couples and another adult. Actually has 5 bedrooms. Bathrooms are small but functional. Deck is wonderful and use if garage was great for storing rafts and bikes. Kitchen was small but never felt crowded even with 4 to 5 people using it. Was disappointed that fire pit was closed even though it appeared to be propane not wood. Would have benefited with little touches like soap dishes in bathroom & bathrug in first floor bedroom. Garbage situation was stressful as whoever was there before us left no room in bear box for our trash (which we heavily compacted). Altogether a great place and would rent again!
Great location, especially if you like easy lake access.
Easy lake access that’s right across the road. Comfortable covered outdoor space to stretch out and relax, dine, read, and play board games. Road noise from the 2-way traffic was only a minor annoyance… but no worse than the wingeing of a 2-year old who doesn’t get their way.
Location, location! Stunning drive over the pass to sugarbowl, or a quick jaunt to Truckee. We loved this little cabin so much! Each kid got their own bedroom upstairs while mom and dad got the downstairs. The cabin is the perfect mix of modern (the six burner stove is fantastic!...just the house needs a griddle or two, plus a tea pot!), comfy (great beds and couches), and rustic (hiking up the stairs and tiny bathrooms). Seriously, the view of Donner Lake is just amazing, with little piers across the street for watching the sunset.
The cabin was rustic and charming. We thoroughly enjoyed the living spaces. Furnishings were clean, and looked new!! The kitchen is not intended for those who enjoy cooking…. Stove is a joke to turn on and actual kitchen lighting is non existent. Lightning over the dining table is not adequate for the kitchen.
The bbq and fire pit were not available as advertised
