"Cabin and surrounding area was clean, quiet, and above all welcoming. Cory communicated to see if all was well, and if we needed anything. Kitchen was stocked with necessities, snacks and coffee. "This house is exactly what we were looking for, and we will definitely be coming back! We couldn’t believe how clean the house was. I mean, spotless.The river was a little low, so we didn’t have much luck fishing right from the house. We contacted the host, who was super responsive and gave us directions to some other places to try. We went right down the street to a public access (3-minute drive or 5-minute walk) and caught rock bass, smallmouth bass, sunfish, and fallfish.The kitchen was extremely well-equipped and had every gadget you could need to make just about any meal. The house is cozy and solid, with no drafty windows or doors.The hot tub was sooo nice! We turned off all the exterior lights and the hot tub lights and ended up catching a few shooting stars. We also made use of the fire pit and tried the “mountain pie” makers, which was a new experience for us Maryland folks.I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking to do some river fishing and have a relaxing, cozy place to come back to at the end of the day. We’ll definitely be back in the spring for fishing season!"

"What an awesome time we had at the mansion. It was just perfect for our IT’S A SHE THING LADIES RETREAT for our group of 22 from VA, NJ, SC, MD, and NC Oct. 9-11, 2026 with perfect fall weather. The house is immaculate with a beautiful kitchen well stocked, an inviting stocked coffee bar, very comfortable beds, more than enough linen, beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms, awesome game room, pool and hot tub relaxing area, enough dining space, a huge sunroom with so much seating for our meetings, large parking area, so much living space and more. The location is perfect for peace and tranquillity with such beautiful sunrises and sunsets, great views. David , the host is so on point and quick to respond . We had no issues at the house which offers all you mostly need as a home away from home, so welcoming and well designed. Easy to get to town for groceries, etc. One of the best places we’ve ever reserved.Easy check in and checkout. We made MEMORIES!"

"We had a fantastic weekend at this property! As Penn State alums, the six of us have been coming to State College for over 25-years for a football game. The property was beautiful, the house was large, well maintained, clean and had every amenity you could old think of. Dustin was a great host and very responsive. This was by far the best house we’ve ever stayed at and we’ll definitely stay here again."
