I had a great stay at Mainalon Resort. The room was good and the breakfast very nice. I would suggest that the towels get refreshed less frequently, for eco-friendliness, as is more custom now at many other hotels.

We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The bathroom was excellent, plenty of storage in room, comfortable bed. Nice having a small balcony to leave door open at night and bring light into room. Small room but fine for a night. Very handy to shops, excellent restaurants, bars and cafes. Room lighting needs improvement

I’ll go there again!
Not enough parking space though. I’ve been booked when I parked my car just outside the parking space. Overall it was a good hotel. No complaints. Thanks.

We stayed there 6 years ago so I am comparing it from then. The hotel is a bit run down. Especially needs new carpeting - It’s old and dirty. There is a ‘no smoking in the rooms’ policy and it was not enforced so my daughters room stunk of smoke cause the guest next door smoked and it seeped into her room. It was disgusting if you are a non smoker. Also, my grandson’s extra bed had ants. We were disappointed to say the least.

Nice stay
Clean hotel in the center of Tripoli ,right next to shops,cafeterias and restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful. The only thing that bothered me was that breakfast finishes at 09:30 witch i have never seen before. It is highly recommended.

Terrible Hotel-Greek Hospitality At Its Worst
The hotel clerk took 15+ minutes to find our reservation, even though we provided our confirmation number and receipt (room was prepaid). They appeared to have lost our reservation. They finally got us a room and handed us a key. When we got to our room, we realized that they did not put us in the type of room we had reserved and paid for, which was an Executive Double Room, Park View, Non-Smoking. Instead, our room was smaller, facing the parking lot instead of the park. When we informed them of their error and asked to be moved, we were told there were no other rooms available. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. The afternoon sun hit the inadequately insulated room, which made it hot and unbearable. We could not open the curtains, or sit on the balcony. The air conditioning was not strong enough to cool the room. The room was old, dark and crowded with too much furniture. There was no place to put our carry-on luggage. The carpet was filthy, with stains. The beds/pillows were uncomfortable. The bathroom had an outdated bathtub. The hotel parking lot was small with insufficient parking. A guest had taken up 2 parking spots and although it was brought to the attention of the staff, no one bothered to ask the guest to move their car. We had to park on the street. Overall, the hotel staff was unfriendly and disingenuous, and offered no apology or a discount for the room downgrade. The manager was unavailable and didn't return our call. Disappointed is an understatement!!

Nice central location
The Mainalon is a lovely old hotel in the center of the city. The service was impeccable. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The issue was with the air conditioning in the room. There basically wasn’t any. We did open the balcony doors at night, but people gathered in the square until late so it was noisy, though the rooms were well insulated. The beds were hard which is good or bad depending on how you like them. The bathroom was renovated and clean with good shower pressure and hot water. For dinner the hotel recommended Villa Incognito around the corner that was fabulous. The lemon chicken was delicious. We stayed in Tripoli because of its central location which worked for us. If the A/C worked I’d give them top rating.

An excellent hotel in the city’s best location
Mainalon is the most centrally located hotel in Tripoli. The front doors lead to the square and connecting pedestrian streets. This puts you in an area that is among the most conveniently walkable of all cities in Greece that are not near a waterfront. The hotel provides a delicious breakfast buffet with great variety. The staff is always helpful and the service is great. The interior design has a timeless charm and everything is comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone preparing to enjoy this pleasant city.

Tried two seperate rooms. Both air conditioners blew out hot air. Had to sleep with the windows open all night and listen to barking dogs. The hall way on our floor was in complete darkness. We had to get assistance to even see how to get to our rooms. The rooms were very dark.

The Mainalon Resort is located in a very convinient location. It is in front of the predestrian main plaza with many restaurants nearby. A very complete and good breakfast is included.

Great Location
Great little hotel with a wonderful location, right on the central piazza (platia). Very clean & tidy & the staff were very friendly & lovely. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of options.

The accommodation is somewhat dated in parts but was clean + welcoming. The bathroom had been updated and was modern, well-appointed and well-stocked. The service was extremely pleasant and helpful. The location is first -rate.

The hotel was great and has an awesome location. Huge rooms and bathrooms. The staff was nice and helpful. Weird that you have to leave your room key at the front desk when you leave. The wifi is horrible. The breakfast is great.

Great place to stay in Tripoli!
It was surprisingly nice. After a not so great stay in a hotel in kalamata I didn’t expect much, but was pleasantly surprised. Nice bathrooms and well decorated rooms.

We have stayed at this hotel many times in our past travels to Greece. The rooms are small an dated. Great wi-fi connection. Breakfast is ok, has been better. Staff always pleasant an helpful. This is the best location to stay when in tripoli.

Hotel is right on the main square in Tripoli. A great location. Unfortunately, the hotel relies a bit much on location and doesn't do the little things necessary to be a great property. WiFi signal is weak. Rooms should be better kept. Upkeep on the property is spotty. Place is just OK. Should have been GREAT.

Smart hotel with polite staff
Very polite and happy staff. The hotel public areas are clean and comfortable. The location is superb, situated on the town square. There is car parking available to the rear which is very useful. The bathroom in the room was very clean and well appointed. Breakfast buffet was extensive.

Super Staff
The hotel rooms could use an update but the staff were exceptional. I mean everyone was helpful and friendly (everyone spoke English as well). Parking behind the hotel was tricky. Overall it was pleasant and when we have to stay in Tripoli again I would choose this hotel.

Gute Lage, Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig
Insgesamt ein nettes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal. Trotz Renovierung der Fassade und eines schönen Bades wirkt das Hotel in die Jahre gekommen. Die Lage ist sehr gut und es sind kostenlose Parkplätze vorhanden. Leider hatten wir am Morgen Ameisen im Zimmer.

Hübsches Hotel in zentraler Lage
Die Zimmer sind gemütlich eingerichtet, von der Größe ausreichend, schönes Bad. Die Zimmer und das Hotel wirken insgesamt nicht mehr modern, wir hatten allerdings einen schönen großen Balkon zum zentralen Platz, auf welchem sich viele Restaurants befinden u.der sehr schön ist, insbesondere zum draußen sitzen, direkt in der Nähe auch einige Geschäfte zum Shoppen. Leider hat das Zimmer nach Rauch gerochen und die Klimaanlage ist sehr laut.
