"We’ve been on a road trip and have recently stayed at many motels. La Quinta in Trinidad CO was a step above. From very soft linens and a very comfortable bed, spacious room, furniture like you’d find in a living room and bedroom, and a really good breakfast, I would easily recommend staying here. The window even opened, a rarity. My only suggestion is to please get rid of the hated 5 tiny pillows and use king sized pillows on a king bed. I appreciate the larger permanent toiletries in the bathroom (less waste and eco friendly). A pump of hand soap at the sink would also be nice. Overall, a recommended stay."

"The room I was in with a king bed, was ok. Carpet wasn’t as clean and found a few things laying there. The room had 2 doors into from 2 different sides. 1 had a latch lock with the deadbolt and the other just a deadbolt. One door was really hard to open as well from I think the humidity from the pool. Breakfast was not as appealing with few choices to get to eat. Since breakfast was included, I shouldn’t be too picky. Overall it was good but not great."

"Are you looking to get away in the mountains of Colorado minus the I70 traffic. This is your place! It’s very secluded and that’s exactly what I was looking for. The cabin was adorable with gorgeous views. Trinidad lake is just 15 minutes away with all kinds of activities. Amy the owner was so attentive and provided a bottle wine and some nice treats for me and my dog. I will be back for sure!"
