"Breakfast is good. Hotel you have to get wet if it’s raining to get to your room. Found hairs in the bed. Got hustled by one of the workers for a city tour. Towels have the year on them. We got one from 2023 that was brown. They will not see me again. "

"From check in to check out staff were awesome. The wonderful lady at reception let us stow our luggage in the office until our room was ready. We chatted with her, getting some dining tips, and she gave us a travel adapter to use as it was the one style that we didn’t bring. Room was great, very comfortable king bed, nice water pressure in the shower. Restaurant and bar staff were amazing, got to learn some Indigenous greetings, the menu looked fantastic but we had booked elsewhere before seeing it. Did have some local beer and South African wine, and the breakfast was perfect before we checked out. Great double espresso! Highly recommended, we were there just for one night, but would definitely stay again. Can't comment on parking, as we were using a shuttle service. Good location, and maybe a ten to fifteen minute walk into town."

"I travel a lot and Avani has one of the best hotel breakfast experiences. It's also in a convenient location with nearby coffee/bakery shops and a small shopping center attached. I definitely recommend staying at this hotel if you are looking for a central location with plenty of shopping options. "

"We spent the month of Feb here. It was perfect for us to explore the city in the mornings and relax by the pool in the afternoons. Furniture was comfortable and all appliances worked well. We never did rent a car, as most of Windhoek’s sights were within a 20 min walk, and the grocery store and many restaurants were within a 10-min walk. Safe neighborhood. Lastly, you will never find a VRBO host as helpful and responsible as Franklin. Thanks for a great experience!"

"The staff was consistently kind and attentive, which I truly appreciated. Unfortunately, my experience was significantly affected by a persistent and unpleasant odor coming from an open sewer line that was covered with plywood. At times, the smell was overwhelming and made my stay uncomfortable. I was especially concerned for the office staff, whose workspace is located very close to this area. While the accommodations were modest, this issue detracted noticeably from what could otherwise have been a pleasant stay. "

"Convenient for a one-night stay - lots of dining options nearby. Check-in was confusing - map is outdated (named restaurant doesn’t exist) and we got two different codes sent for the luck box. Unit was clean and well-equipped. It’s not totally clear from the photos, but the toilets are in the bedrooms (no separate bathroom) so if you want privacy this isn’t ideal. The night we stayed the restaurant had an event so there was fairly loud music into the night. Outside the host’s control, but something to be aware of. "
